Charge for upgrades

We will be staying at the RPR in June for 6 nights. We are a Loews member. If you ask for an upgrade at check-in and you get one, do they charge you additional money or do you get it for the price you original booked the room for? Thanks to everyone for your answers.

It can be both. they can offer you a free upgrade or they can offer you an upgrade at a price. For example, a suite for $35 more. Most people get free upgrades when they are upgraded.
