Charcter visits at Resorts?

I was reading on the Disney Club site that the EE mornings have been replaced by the Charcter visits to your resort. Has anyone been lately and meet the charcters in their resort? If so, how many and which ones come or is it different at each resort? We will be staying at the POR and would like to know which mornings they will be there. Thanks for your help!

Characters on the Caravan really varry from day to day. Usually I think there's one or two of the Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Doanld, Goofy, and Pluto) and a couple of characters from other movies. I know I've seen Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, and Baloo at a couple Resorts, but have heard characters from Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, the Lion King, and others appear.

The resort will give you a list of times when you check in .We found all the times to be just as we wanted to be leaving for the parks. Around 8:00 or 8:30. We went down one morning to check it out and the characters were running late and our bus pulled up so we did not hang around. This was Jan. with low crowd and there were quite a few kids waiting so don't know if this gets crowded.

At AKL by the time I was passing through the lobby on my way to the bus (around 8:30, I think) there were lots of kids waiting. The characters spread all around the lobby & you could wait on line for each one & do the usual picture & autograph thing. Plan on it taking some time!
