We just got back from Disney about a week ago and I wanted to post this tip:
To meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald and Chip & Dale all in a short period of time - do so at Epcot's Character Connection. We had met some of the characters prior to that and waited in line at MK for 10 to 15 minutes and for Mickey and Minnie it would have been 30 minutes plus at MK. When we went to Epcot we met all of them within a 15 minute time frame, and that was because the characters needed their "break" as we still had Donald and Goofy to meet. They didn't rush you either and it's nice and cool in there! :goodvibes

Thanks, that is a great idea and tip, my grandson wants to visit with Mickey every day, so my DS and DDIL are always taking him to ToonTown, he just loves Mickey, this maybe a way to get them to another park. Where do we find the Character Connection in Epcot ? Thanks,

Character Connection is Innoventions - the entrance is next to the breezeway that heads back to the Land Pavilion. As you walk towards the fountain, on the right there is usually a placard type sign pointing it out - with the times - Usually around 9:30 - 5:30ish. There is also a big round sign outside the doorway.

It is a great place, and I always pop my head in to see who is inside- besides the regulars - which seem to be Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip & Dale and Donald, I have seen Goofy, Gepetto and Pinocchio.

It's organized, cool and the lines are rarely long! I like the background for the pics too! They have a Photopaass photographer with each character too.

If they go to MGM you can see Mickey in his Sorcerer costume on Mickey Ave. He has his own greeting area there. It is a nice picture too! The line there has never been too too bad! They can probably catch him at AK back in Camp Mickey Minnie too! He's at several of the character breakfasts, which would be a hoot for your grandson too!!

thank you very much for the information and pics, I'll be sure to take my Grandsons there. They are Mickey, Mickey and more Mickey nuts.

Character Connection is awesome. We were in and out in like fifteen minutes. There were no lines. Only my younger son would have his picture taken, my older son and daughter were bravely waving from the stroller, so DW and I got our pictures taken also. They also have a Photopass photographer for each character. It was very organized and a quick way to get some pictures/autographs with the characters. When we went it was Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Chip & Dale, Pluto, and Goofy.

Just hoping they add the enhancements back to the Photopass by our next trip.

Thanks, I think my three Grandsons will just love this place. Sounds much better than other meet and great stops.

Don't know that we would have stopped at this if I hadn't seen this post. I can't believe from all the tips I've read for so many months, I've never heard about this. I almost feel I got sprinkled with a little pixie dust on this one! :thumbsup2

Me, too! Me, too! When I stumbled upon this place, I couldn't believe how many characters were there with such a short line! The day prior we had spent in the MK, and we waited in line 20 minutes for Mickey. At Innoventions, we didn't have a wait at all, and saw MM/MN, Chip n Dale, Goofy, and Donald Duck.

We just got back from DW Saturday! We discovered the Character connection in Epcot our first day there, and was soooo glad! We saw Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, and Mary Poppins! Photopass photographers were at each character. We were so glad to knock out so many characters at once, and it only took about 10-15 minutes to see them all!

We were so lucky to find this too!

It was our last afternoon at the parks and my DD7 suddenly revealed she was brokenhearted not to have met Mickey and Minnie. She's never really been a Mickey and Minnie kind of gal, so we had no idea that this was bothering her so much. Certainly didn't think it worth standing in those long hot lines we'd seen at MK. She'd been SO agreeable the whole trip (unlike a certain older brother) and now this was the one thing she really wanted. So we thought we'd try, but really thought we were out of luck.

We were all over America, England and France, and then back to the Future, asking CMs and checking maps and schedules, all the while telling her nothing except we're really sorry but at least you got to meet Buzz and Woody and Stitch and weren't all the rides fun?

Then, 10 minutes before it closed (5:30?), we found the Connections place. Went inside, and there, all the major characters spread out before us with pretty much NO waiting, in the air conditioning, like a dream come true. Even Mickey in his tux like the one DD had bought. I swear I heard the angels sing.

In all the pics she's got a big smile and still the red puffy face from crying.

Darn....we missed this place. I guess because it was our 1st trip and we only did 1 day at Epcot...with a PM break because it stormed really bad. Another tip is that the characters are out fromt of AK for a full hour after the park closes. We discovered this by accident on Mother's Day wehn we came out of the Rainforest Cafe around 6:30 pm and saw then lined up in the shade with short lines to see them!

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.. Don't tell Mickey, but that is where this photo was taken:

What a flirt Minnie is!!!

This is great!! Can't wait to go to see the characters on our upcoming trip....We'll still probably visit at MK....because my kids are not going to want to pass it without visiting....but it's a nice surprise I will leave until we are in Epcot. Thanks again!! :thumbsup2

ITA!! Here's what we did, got there at opening, ran (with 99% of the rest of Epcot visitors) to Soarin' and got FP's for later, went back to Character Connection and was in and out in 10 minutes, rode Journey to Imagination, by then our FP time was open to see Soarin' with very little wait! :thumbsup2

She is a flirt - she was flirting another Diser who posted a pic on another thread!! Lifting her skirt and showing some leg.
