What characters are normally on the cruise? Do kids have autograph books on there like in the parks? I'm trying to make this as perfect as possible for DD (so excuse my 60 billion questions please, lol!).

Mickey, Minnie, Donals, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy, Max, Captain Hook, Jack Sparrow, Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Tiana, Chip & Dale, and many many more!!

Yes many bring an autograph book, but sometimes the lines are longer and they ask that you do not get autographs at that time.

And always carry your camera. Some of our best photos are from when we just randomly caught characters roaming the ship!!

Do the pillowcase too! Take a new pillowcase, some new sharpie markers, a little chocolate/candy and put them in a large ziploc bag. Turn them into customer service and you will get them back at the end of the cruise (last night for us) with all the autographs. You can do one for each child. I even requested no princesses. I took ours and did a quick chain stitch over the signatures for a wonderful pillowcase that DS likes to take on spend the nights with friends. Although with the stitching he likes to sleep on the flat side not the stitched side. Others have taken photo mats to be signed which I will try next time. Be sure to keep your eye out for when Mickey is in his sorcerer's hat on the white background posing for photos. The resulting photo is beautiful!

Buzz and Woody on stage only; no meet and greets.

The longer the sailing, the more characters might be available. There will always be an assortment of princesses, Captain Sparrow, and the "main" Disney gang in many outfits. Yes, there are autograph sessions, photo ops, etc. I'll second the above--the ship is Magical. You never know when a character will appear on deck 9 or on the treadmill next to you in the fitness center....or just be walking down the hall. Some of the best interactions are those unplanned ones. Whenever possible they will allow a quick picture; sometimes they will "play" with you--sword fighting with pirate Goofy, etc!

MUCH better character interaction than in the parks.

If I drop off something at guest services to get autographs on like a photo mat, can I ask for Buzz & Woody's autograph too?

They will do other things too - I did photo mats and a hat.

The characters are out a lot and in different dress. Mickey and Minnie in formal wear etc.

They have a princess autograph session one morning as well. At this time they don't take pictures but sit at a table and sign books and talk to the kids.

Everyone gets a Character breakfast too where Mickey, Minnie , Chip and Dale, Pluto and Goofy come around. You can take pictures and get autographs then too they just ask you to be ready when they get to the table. Be prepared to eat little at a time because your up and down. :lmao:
