Characters on Castaway Cay

I always see Mickey and Minnie at CC in the ads for DCL but will we see them on CC?

We want to spend some time with our kids at CC on the family beach. Can we also all go to Scuttle's Cove to explore there as well? What is at SC? Is it part of the Kid's Club? What do your kids like best on CC? Ours will be 9 and 12.

oh yes, the characters will be out for pictures and such! depends on the age they do different activities.. my son is only a toddler and they did digs in the sand finding whale bones or something.. they do all kinds of things. out in the water they have like a huge tree house type structure they can swing on ropes and climb all over... there are tubes you can float out on and snorkling gear you can snorkel around... very cool and is usually everyones favorite part of the cruise and want to spend more time there. also don't miss the adult only beach serenity bay or if you like massages.... you can get a massage in a private cabana oceanside... beautiful! you will all enjoy very much!

We walked behind Minnie and Mickey holding hands on CC. They have photo ops with them as well as other characters.

I have never seen a character on CC in two cruises. We get off the ship ASAP and then I go back with DS at 3 to get ready for the kid's clubs. I know that they have them on the pier as you are boarding closer to 4 because DH took pics of DD with Hook & Smee. We stay on the family beach & don't go looking for them either. If you really want to see them I would call the PALS line the night before to find out exactly when & where.

Your personal Navigator paper will tell you the times that the characters will be out at CC. Usually around 9 or so in the morning they are in 3 or 4 places along the walk to the beach. The post office is the first place you will see them. The lines are short and move quickly as most people are in a hurry to get to the beach instead of seeing characters. They wiil do Photos and autographs both. Then later on , in the Gazebo behind the family beach different characters appear throughout the day for pictures and autographs again. We have seen, Mickey,Minnie,Donald,Goofy,Chip n Dale, Captain Hook, Mr. Sneed, and santa goofy (at Christmas) on every trip, 7 in all so far.
The DJ usually announces when the characters are arriving to the Gazebo on the PA system.
We love seeing the characters this way because of the short lines!

There is a schedule of when the characters are out at CC. Yes, many of the "classic Disney" characters take a turn there.

Scuttles' Cove is the name of the location for the Club and Lab programs at CC. THere is a "family time" activity, and you can check in on your kids at any time.

When she was younger, DD didn't like to snorkel, so I'd put her at Scuttle's while I snorkled...then pick her up for lunch, and we'd spend time together on the beach after we ate. There are loads of kid activities at the Scuttle's area, and sometimes a character puts in an appearance there.

9 and 12 are actually getting a little old for many of the Scuttle's activities...there is a whale dig, making "shells", etc. There are some water games, but no swimming.
