characters in Toontown-certain times?

Are there are always characters (the ones with "houses" there) in Toontown or just at certain times of day?
My DD didn't get to meet Minnie (just saw her in the parade and right before she had to take a break -it was a super hot day) last time we were there and was so upset. I'm just trying to make sure she meets her this time. We didn't spend more than 45 min in Toontown last time due to the heat but that seems like the logical place to meet her.

Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale and Minnie make regular appearances either in the Park area or the food area. Mickey can only be seen in his house. Minnie will occassionally appear in her house as well, but I have seen her out and about more often.

During the holidays, Santa Goofy sits in the gazebo in the middle of Toontown.

last time we were there we saw Mickey at his house and when we came out Minnie was riding gadget's Go Coaster. My friend's daughter got to sit next to Minnie on the ride. The thrill of a lifetime!
I didn't see any other characters in Toontown that day, in the afternoon.

If you are looking for a specific character (Minnie or otherwise) either ask the CM at City Hall or the Character Finder CM at the end of Main Street by the Wait Times Board and they will be able to tell you when and where your character is scheduled to appear.

Mickey and Minnie at ToonTown just needs a potty break... they go back and come out pretty much really quickly. Either that or they need to make a quick appearance in the front of the park riding the secret magic expressway.
