Characters in Halloween Costumes question

Hello,

I'll heading to Disneyland next Friday, Sept 30th for 5 days and attending the Halloween party on Mon, Oct 3rd. Eagerly anticipating the reports of first parties. Here's hoping that awesome DISers will post the map & reviews after 9/23.

I am working on an overall character plan to try get my must-dos during the whole stay. I have a question...

Do the characters dress in Halloween costumes during the day or just at the party? For example, I was wondering about the classic characters meeting on Main Street - Town Square (Mickey, Donald Goofy, Chip & Dale, etc) ?

We saw the Mickey and Minnie in HalloweenTime costumes in Town Square during the day last Saturday. We didn't see the rest of the Big 5, but I would assume they would be in costumes, too.

Traditionally the fab 5 in Town Square in Halloween costumes during the day, but that's it. And those will be different costumes from what they wear at the party. Different costumes still at the pre-party in Toontown. We met Mickey and Minnie in 3 different Halloween costumes last year and loved it!
