Characters In Flight balloon ride at DTD on Groupon

Just a heads up for those looking for non-park "things to do"....the Characters in Flight balloon ride at DTD is currently being offered on Groupon. $11 for one person ($18 regular), $20 for two people ($36 regular).

The Groupon expires 90 days after purchase. The offer is only being extended for the next 3 days.

I won't post the link (since they're not permitted) but its easy to find if you Google it.

I am considering purchasing it for our May trip.....if I can convince myself to overcome my overwhelming fear of heights!!

I would not purchase this unless you have a lot of time to go to DTD. The reason I say this is because we have been trying to do this for several trips now and every time we get over there it is not operating due to weather. Last trip we stayed at SSR right across the lake from it and we checked 3 different times to go over (popped our head outside to see if it was up) and it was never flying. We did see it up a few times during that trip, but we were heading out to other reservations and couldn't head over there.

I would just be hesitant on prepaying for something like that, especially if you have a tight schedule. Also DTD is a nightmare right now to get to/from, even on Disney transportation, so you could potentially eat up a lot of time.

Thanks for posting Gina! I will look a little closer to the October trip since it has to be used within 90 days, at least I thought it said that. I haven't used Groupon before but I do use Ebates and Groupon is double cash back today! Hope it works for someone

FYI,
If you show up in the morning (I think before 10 am) it's $10pp to go up. We did it this past August and would recommend it!
