Characters in DLH lobby?

Do the characters still come out in the lobby on occasion at the Disneyland hotel? I remember once we saw Goofy during check in, but that was about 5 years ago. Just curious if this still happens sometimes throughout the day.

well about 3 years ago we saw Goofy in the lobby as we were coming back to the hotel for our afternoon nap, but we haven't stayed on site since then (not enough moohla)

I saw Goofy when I stayed there last month.

I saw Goofy in the lobby in December 2010, and he was by himself, just standing around looking bored, waiting for someone to pose for a photo with him. No one really saw him.

Then I saw Goofy again this past December 2011 when we were standing around the check-in desk. This time, everyone saw him and wanted pictures.

I think I have heard of a couple of other character lobby sightings in the past, but it is usually Goofy that you will see...because his "Kitchen" is nearby and he needs to attract people to the restaurant, after all!

Sometimes you will also see Pluto or other characters as they are either leaving Goofy's Kitchen or on their way in to the restaurant to do their shifts.

We have seen both Goofy in 2008 and 2010 and Pluto in 2010.
