characters at MVMCP

I've read the characters are at Camp Mickey & Minnie in their holiday dress during the holidays instead of their safari costumes. Is that correct?

I seem to remember seeing Scrooge out during the day last year. I know for sure he was out on Thanksgiving day.

Yes, that is correct.

Yes, he was out during the day. He alternated with Donald.

They're in the parade but not sure if they are out and about for Meet and Greets, if that is what you are looking for :)

I hate to tell you this, but the "Song of the South" unit does not appear in the new "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade." :(

can't wait til 12/2 for our tickets to the party. Hopefully I will get to see the 7 7 dwarfs??

:( Aw, that's sad . . . I guess the movie just keeps getting less and less recognized as time goes on. I think that's one of my favorite floats from a Disney parade, sad to hear it's gone. (Hey but if anyone has the Alice in Wonderland dvd, a major hunk of Song of the South is on Disc 2's "One Hour in Wonderland" feature :thumbsup2 )

By happy chance, I had the opportunity to attend MVMCP last night, so here's a character report:

Tomorrowland - Santa Stitch, seemed to leave and come right back out
Toontown - Hall of Fame has one line for Mickey and Minnie and one line for Princess Aurora w/Prince Philip and Cinderella w/Prince Charming. They seem to cut off the lines at 11:30, so don't wait till the last minute like we did. :(
Fantasyland - saw the Tweedles by the Tea Cups, Uncle Scrooge at the Tree Lot, Tigger and Piglet at Pooh's Thotful Place, the Tremaines at the Fantasyland Cotillion at Ariel's Grotto (this is NOT really a meet and greet opportunity, but a dance party. That said, I highly recommend going later in the night, as it was equal numbers adults and kids participating and the Tremaines were HILARIOUS!), and Snow White w/Snow Prince alternating with Belle w/the Beast near Small World.
Liberty Square and Frontierland - didn't see any characters, though we weren't there for any length of time.
Adventureland - Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, Peter Pan and Wendy, and Genie and Abu alternating with Jasmine and Prince Ali

For those who may want to try the timing it seems that:

Tigger and Piglet come out on the half-hour, probably with Pooh and Eeyore on the hour
Snow White w/the Prince come out on the half-hour with Belle w/Beast on the hour
Genie and Abu come out on the half-hour with Jasmine and Prince Ali on the hour
Uncle Scrooge was alternating with Donald Duck, but I'm not sure who comes out when (sorry!)

No guarantees this will be the the schedule going forward, though.

Thanks for the great info. It may or may not be the same characters all the time, but I am guessing this will be pretty close to who will be out through the season.

Yup, that's pretty much it in a nutshell. I wonder if the Country Bears are out again this year. They are awsome. Also, the Toy Story characters are in Frontierland I believe.

Thank you for the report:thumbsup2

Sorry, I forgot! We did see Country Bears in Frontierland while we were waiting for the second parade.

Like Joanna said, they are out 7:00 until 11:30. That's what it says on the 2007 Party Map.

Thanks for the "heads up." :thumbsup2 Duly noted! (I guess it's wisest to try to catch the characters early in the evening.)

About the Dance Parties: I noticed in some posted photos that "Cosmic Ray's jingle dance & play!" is ongoing from 7:00 a.m. to midnight. Meanwhile, there are set times listed at the "Pavilion Cotillion" (7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00) in Fantasyland. I'm gathering that the actual dance party is ongoing but that the Ladies Tremaine make hourly appearances. Generally how long do they remain on the dance floor?

I am so looking forward to this. My family had dinner at 1900 Park Fare this Oct. 2 (a day after the venue reopened following renovations). I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the dinner's format had changed to include the Ladies Tremaine. (They were really funny!) I had read so many good things about them on the DISboards that I had hoped to catch them during our trip. They didn't disappoint! :thumbsup2

Regarding the Pavilion Cotillion, it only runs on the hour. The Tremaines only stay out for a half-hour or so and the party's over when they go.

The 1st week of the MVMCP has come and gone. Anyone have any character pics from the 1st week to share? :santa:

I see a few people will be there on December 2, so will we! What fun. How cool about the Tremaines! Last year the Pinocchio characters were hosting the dance party. I remember seeing Scrooge McDuck.

I'm so excited. Less than two weeks now!

PJesse25: Thanks for the character report!:thumbsup2
Just wondering, were the Pooh Characters wearing christmas outfits?

Thanks!:)
jozy

Jozymouse: We didn't wait in line for the Pooh characters, as I know they more easily accessed at AK, so I don't have pics to refer back to, but I believe they were wearing holiday attire! :)
