Characters at MNSSHP

We were at the party last night, and we did not see anything other than what was on the list -
in fact we didn't even get to all the areas to find all the characters I wanted to check out - the character lines were fairly long.

The Dancy party was a good place to get some characters - we happened to be there at 7pm when it started.

Malificent
Frollo
Cruella (we had her from 2003 - I needed up update)
also there were
Suzy & Perla
Queen of Hearts
Evil Queen
Jafar
Hook

We stood in about a 10 min line for Eeyore (mummy) & Pooh, when they went in Tigger & Piglet were coming out, but we did not wait - as the line was still very long!

We also got Walrus on the Toon Town Trail. He had a minimal line, but Alice at the beginning of the trail was a little busy.

Minnie (witch costume) behind her house - this line was SOOOOO LONG all the way into the arts & crafts room of her house is where I started to wait. (This was before 8pm)

Bullseye was in the DiamondHorse shoe, but of course he had to go get some oats 2 familes before us and was not due back for almost an hour, so we didn't get him last night.

We stood in line for a photo op with Cinderella's Coach.

Walked through Adventureland - did not see Tarzan visibily - but he could have been tucked in one of the buildings. DD and I were have an "thing" at the time, and really on the way out of the park, not looking for anything at that point! We re-grouped and did stay for the fireworks and 10:30 parade.

We did not cover as much ground as I had hoped, but we are going back on the 12th. We did not even trick or treat. It was a lot of waiting, and after a long day at school, DD was not really in the mood. I should know better than to go after a full day of school. The 12th is a vacation day, and we will be staying at the Poly, so we can check in and just chill until dinner! Now I understand why in the past three years of parties we never did much with the characters - it's hard to do that and ride rides..

I haven't uploaded my pics yet- I just went through them - I was too tired last night when we got after midnight!

Toontown was quite crowded - I was surprised. We entered Toontown at 7:27, went directly to Minnie's house, I was in Minnie's kitchen at 7:35, and DDs picture with Minnie was at 8:02.

They were dancing too.... Queen of Hearts was really getting her groove on!

We will have to get Mickey in his scarecrow next time...


I just ordered our 50% 5x7 from Photopass - it is 50% off all 5x7s not just one - I got two for $16. with tax and shipping.

We only got them at two locations.

Maybe they weren't available that night. Then again, this has only been the second night of MNSSHP anyway, so maybe when I go again on 10/2 and 10/23, things will be better.

makinorlando, i love the photos by the coach, was there a long queue. could you take your own photos as well as photopass ones... I love the detailing to the bottom left. do we get that on the photo passs cd, or just if you buy the picture?

I'm really disappointed you didn't see Horace, Country Bears, and Brers - we need 4 of them. Without them, we just need Bullseye & the Dwarfs. Hoping they'll be out 9/29.

The coach was in Fantasyland - just past It's A Small World.

I think we waited maybe 10 minutes. It was organized and moved smoothly.

You could take your own photos, as well as the Photopass.

I add the detail on the one photo that I purchased on line.

I'm wondering if you purchased them in the park if you could get more MNSSHP specific designs but for me I was not standing in that line!!!! They also have the Photopass location in Toontown. For me not being on vacation I never get enough Photopass photos in a 30 day period to make a CD worthwhile

It seems they added several "Photo Op" - photo pass locations I guess since they seem to be pushing Photo pass.

1) At the entrance in front of Train Station
2) Right inside of park at flag pole - Giant Mickey Mouse Ghost
3) Toontown in front of the Toontown Sigh - with the pumpkins to each side
4) Minnie at her houe
5) In Liberty Square they had a cut large "sign" with the Hitchhiking Ghosts you could pose in front of
6) The POTC display in front of the ride

Those were the ones that I noticed/recall. We only did the coach and Minnie!

Reading the posts about the same characters has really goten under my skin with this years MNSSHP. This year IMO really stinks for characters. I wish Disney Mngt would get their heads out of the sand and listen to their guests. This is a SPECIAL event. I can see Rafiki, Baloo, King Louie, Suzy, Perla, Cinderella, Alice, Tweedles, White Rabbit, Capt Hook, Smee, Peter Pan, Stitch, Woody and Jessie all the time. This year there might be one new character???? And what disneyphilip posted didn't encourage me at all. Part of the reason for MNSSHP is the characters and this year it's been nothing but cutbacks for us the paying guests when it comes to the characters that appear. What about the 3 Little Pigs, Pain, Panic, Hades, White Witch of Narnia, Jiminy Cricket, Scrooge Mcduck, Huey, Dewey and Louie!!! Disney please bring someone else out. Yes, Abu, Tarzan and Walrus are out. But they were out last year. Can you please do something with the paying guest in mind. I hope that a Disney manager will read this and realize that this is getting old. In 2004 there were so many rare and cool characters out. Ones you would never see at any other time. Now it's just the same ones you see in the parks day in and day out!!!!!! I hope this changes!!! This may be the last year I attend the party. I'm done venting now.

As I said in the past, I highly recommend that you write letters to them expressing your feelings and make your voice be heard.

I will be sending Disney a letter, telling them that they should bring out characters that you usually can't see in a regular park day! I'm a character freak, and I thought there would be a ton of rare characters there. I'm very dissapointed with the lack of characters I will be there on the 23rd of October, so I have plenty of time to write them, please EVERYONE send them a letter, and I sugest writing a couple of examples I'm putting Pain, Panic, and more!!! PLEASE EVERYONE! EVEN IF YOU AREN'T A CHARACTER FREAK, IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED BY EVERYONE ELSE! I'm also adding that I would love it if the 7 dwarfs gave out autographs.
