We've just booked our first trip home for December 2005. DD wants to know if you can still get a wake-up call from Mickey Mouse, as you can at the regular WDW resorts. This is a high point of her day. Since she is not a morning person, it helps to get her out of bed. She will be very disapointed if it is not available.

Even at DVC HHI. The last time we were at a DVC, at BWV in January, it was Stitch. I want Mickey back and really hope he's available to wake me up in March.

Stitch (with Mickey coming in later) and also Goofy woke me up last week. :goodvibes

It's also a highlight of our day ... we schedule the call for when we know the kids will be up and then (in a one bedroom) make sure each mans their own phone.

Speaking of character calls ... if ever you are celebrating a birthday and near a castmember with a phone (usually any sort of sales kiosk), very often they receive a call from a character to wish you happy birthday.

I heard that if you make your wake up time something uncommon like 7:03am you have a better chance of getting Mickey due to lower call volume (I think). Whether or not it's true I don't know, but give it a shot.

I went in Jan and had Stich also. I was half asleep and when I answered the phone all I could hear was this screeching in my ear. Not a good way to wake up!! LOL

If you bobble the phone when the call comes, you'll get a backup call from a real CM! Now, that's a disappointment.

I'll give that a try. The last thing I want is to start the day with Stitch screaming in my ear or my DD's ear!

What does bobble the phone mean? Not a phrase we use here!!!

Sorry, this is a family board so we really can't say here.

It is a great way for a wake-up call. I set one up for my three year old grandson in November. We were all up and I said to him I think that's for you. He answered and had a strange look on his face. I said "who is it". He said "I think it's my cat".
Mickey would love that. :)
