Character Visits

Would you pay $900 for a 30 minute character visit?

  • Yes, I have so much money it doesn't matter

  • Yes, it's a lot of cash, but it is really important to me

  • No, I would love a character visit, but that's crazy

  • No, I don't want Mickey stealing my thunder anyway

I was expressing an opinion about the value of DFTW, tinkerbell_766, which is really the topic here as I read on through the thread. I am sure you don't mean to be condescending by calling me "sweetie" but I must say it reads that way. I did express my opinion about hiring characters, which is that while I understand that some people like them, I just would never have considered getting one. Out of respect for other people's differing opinions, I won't go on further about my opinion about characters at weddings. It's not my business what other people choose to spend their money on.

I am very sorry that I have offended you - I call everyone on here 'sweetie' (I am sure the girls tell you that). Sorry if it appears condescending to you.
I am sure that you didn't mean to come over as aggressive, but your post reads that way, particularly as I was agreeing with you about the value of character visits. I am not sure what I have done wrong here and I apologize if I have misunderstood you.

I think after this, I had better stop discussing on this thread as I appear to be offending people and I don't want to do that - I have been down that road before!!! I apologize to any of my friends if I have appeared condescending when addressing them as 'sweetie'. I don't mean to, and this is just the way I am.

Joanne, you are such a darling. You can call me sweetie all you want. I don't mind! Heck, you can call me butt-face if you want, I like you that much.

Thank you butt face :lmao: I love you too. I really don't know what I did to upset the other lady - I hate to upset people!!!

I didn't see where this thread went yesterday, or I would have jumped in! Joanne, I will be heartbroken if you stop calling me sweetie. Back home, it's very common for the ladies to call everyone "sugar", and "sweetie" reminds me of that and I love it! I was just asking my friend if on my next birthday (24), I am officially old enough to call everyone "sugar".

I didn't vote because I don't feel any of the options really fit me.

Personally I would have loved to have M&M at my wedding and if I had the money I probably would have had them. If they're what you want at your wedding then they probably are worth it to you. They would not have been worth it to me and my DH imply because there was only 8 of us in total so we did not really have much of a wedding party.

It would have been equally amazing to have arrived in the coach but I couldn't justify spending that amount of money on it. (I felt incredibly guilty spending £885 on a dress...:rotfl:)

We however did spend money on the MK photo shoot and to be honest I wish we hadn't done it. While it was a brilliant experience at the time, I feel like I wasted money. I'm both sad and angry with myself for this and have learnt my lesson there.

Perhaps M&M would have fit better in my wedding than I thought? Hindsights a wonderful thing.

I think if you look at it as how many $ per hour then it will seem like it's not worth it but when I see people's photos (for example Jackies) then I think yeah, it was worth it. The looks on peoples faces when they turn up out the blue is priceless.

Anyhoo... I forgot what my original point was.....
