Character Swap - Progress Thread - COMPLETE & FINISHED

Hi - I'm checking in!

I am in two groups and have three elements all the way done.

A1 - Mickey - Sorcerer. I have the topper done and Mickey is all cleaned up in my computer waiting to be printed, cut up, and put together.

My Magical topper is made with a yellow sparkle paper on black cardstock. The red stars are a lace paper. The white "Magical" is done on sparkle white paper. The hat is inked and the stars/moon are all done with the same sparkle white paper. I think it looks better in "real" life because you see the sparkle - in the picture it just looks like yellow and white paper.

C1 - Princesses - Cinderella Both elements are done.

Sorry for the quality of the picture. Cinderella is a 4" paper pieced item that I decided needed a little more "weight" to her, so I added her name. She is made with silver glitter paper and 2 shades of metalic blue paper. I also embossed her skirt with a swirly design. Her name is on glitter silver and glitter white with the name inked in silver.

This is a quote box made with 2 shades of metalic blue. The swirls in the corner are glitter white and the shoe is glitter silver. I added a rinestone heart to the shoe and a shimmer ribbon to the bottom. The Cinderella font I found on-line and the capital A has a pretty Cinderella around it. I was hoping for sparkly and romantic.

I am doing a girl's trip next week to Utah and then I will come home and finish Mickey. I love what I am seeing - everyone is doing such a great job!!!

These are great! The Cinderella set is just beautiful!

Not the best pictures but here are two of my three groups - I have them done and just have to do the second element for meeko.

Jafar topper used wordart and then edges are inked. Paper piecing has lots of black glaze pen.

Frozone topper also using word art and then there are stickles on the snow parts.

Thanks for the nice comments I had a lot of fun making these items -- and my new stack books of metalic and sparkle got a good work-out!

I'm just checking in too. Everyone's work looks great. I am making progress. I have started on Silvermist but the Fairies cart isn't easy. The way they set it up I'm not crazy about it.

Ok so Plan B is I do a title for Jafar that actually represents Jafar and not mistakenly Captain Hook!

I am going to re-do the top layer in the same style......

I just figured I didn't know the movie that well!! The paper piecings are wonderful. I have to check to see if I am in these groups!

That's funny on your title for Jafar! I saw the Walk the Plank and figured I'd missed something in the movie since it's been awhile since I've seen it! Oops!!

Cute! I make most of character mats vertical too -- my photos look like yours, just replace your cute boy with my sweet girl.

I take horizontal photos. My DH takes the vertical ones. Him and his snazzy camera. I have a Kodak EasyShare. I lose what I'm looking at if I turn the camera sideways.

Does Contry Bear still change out and go to camp during the summer?
I did a song card of the "Great Outdoors" and started thinking do they only sing that one during "Summer Camp"? Or do you all think it will be ok?

At WDW, they stopped using the Vacation show in 1992. They just show the original show now. They've even stopped doing the Christmas version. Now, for me it's fine, because I still have pics to scrap from when it was still at Disneyland, and that was the vacation show.

I wonder how much longer they will continue to have CBJ at WDW?
I used to love that show and in fact I was just listening to the music the other day. I think its sad when they start doing away with things like the overlays. I know what Walt said, but its still sad=( (we need a sad smiley)
