Character Swap - Progress Thread - COMPLETE & FINISHED

MissesDisney, your Meeko is really cute!

AWM & 123SA, thanks for keeping an eye on things here while I was at WDW.

AWM, your package arrived today. My mailman was nice and put it in a plastic bag before leaving it on the porch since it's raining. The box is nice and dry! I haven't opened it yet, but it's here.

Looks like I'm going to be getting bunches of mail shortly!!!:cool1: I love mail!!! I guess I also should get busy and finish up my own sets!

:woohoo: How was your trip?

Glad it got there.:thumbsup2

I really want to go. But with the new puppies, DH is not gonna entertain going earlier than our planned 2010 trip. It would be great to live a little bit closer.

Glad you had a good time. Do you do trip reports?

Wow, I don't know if I could wait until 2010 to go! I'm spoiled living this close. I had a hard time when we moved an hour further away a few years ago!!!! Good luck on convincing your DH to go sooner!!!

No, sorry, I don't do trip reports. We didn't actually do a whole lot this trip. We went to all the parks and DTD, but we mainly just soaked up the atmosphere more than riding the rides and such. Since we go so often we just do whatever we feel like at the time and if we don't do something, we know we'll catch it next time.

You sound like me and DL! Its not so much about the rides anymore as it is about just soaking it all up:goodvibes
But........ Did you ride RNR for me? Its probably the only ride that WDW has that I would like here!

The box I sent my things in is a square box not the typical box just to make you aware.

Glad you had a good time!:hippie:

Belle is now done with her Silvermist, and it is bagged and ready to go. My groups are all finished and bagged also. We are just waiting for LaWanna to be done with hers so that we can ship them together. Here is a pic of what Belle did for the kids group:

I look forward to seeing your pieces AR!!! And, yes, I rode RNR. We rode it this morning in the very back seat. :thumbsup2

LOL! :rotfl: We don't use the eye cutouts, because they are too small and such a pain! Or the lips for that matter. She used stickles on the lips, and the eyes were done with a white gel pen, a blue gel pen and a black gel pen. It is easier and we don't get so frustrated with them! We blow the character up really large in cds so that we can see how their eyes are supposed to be, so we know the shape of each color.

How old is Belle? Her work is awesome!

She is grins from ear to ear right now with everyone's kind comments!:) She is 13 years old. She has been scrapping with me for almost 10 years. When she was younger I would give her scraps to cut and play with while I would make things. Then she started doing cards with me, and she has really progressed with her skills since then. She LOVES my Cricut, and thinks of it as hers, however, I know better! I told her that someday I would get a new one that she could have my hand-me-down, but she said she would take the new one and I could just keep the one I presently have!:rotfl:

Banana is going on 12 and she also has claimed my cricut! Tell Belle she does better work than I do and she should be with the adults! Too bad Banana isnt in that group, or maybe it is for the best, she was a bit tired from other things to do her best work this time around!:goodvibes

She does do better than some of the adults that I have been in swaps with on the Cricut mb! She has asked before to be with the adults, but I always tell her that she needs to be in with the kids, because other people might not want kids in their groups. She is quite picky (like myself), and makes sure that her work is something that she would want back. She gets out the adhesive eraser and erases the adhesive goobers, so that it looks perfect!

Belle's set looks lovely. I feel a little bad though...I am not sure she is getting an even trade with my DD. She did work hard on her sets, but she is 9 and it does look like a 9 year old did it.

I'd be happy to be in a group with Belle.
