Need help to find the BEST.....
Want to book ADR for character meal (B, L, or D) mainly for ds 10. He loves Goofy, so it needs to be one with him. He is not an early riser, he is better at staying up late. Active, but doesn't really like crowds of crazy kids.
Others in family include mom, dad, 16yo brother and 18yo sister so food should be good.
Any help out there?
(I will need help with other suggestions, but figured I would tackle this one step at a time)

Two weeks ago we had a wonderful breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We had an 850 ADR but I think they serve breakfast until 1030 or so. The character interaction was great with Goofy, Mickey, Minnie, and Chip and Dale. It was really fun and my DD 7, DS 5 and DD 2 thoroughly enjoyed it. One of my friends recently had dinner there and loved it. Have fun planning!

I would suggest LTT. We've done it all three times I've taken dd7 to MK and we really like that one. Goofy is there, along with Minnie, Pluto and Chip and Dale. We have done every character meal with the exceptions of just a few and we really enjoy this one. The characters usually make it around a couple of times. You can check out the menu at Allearsnet to make sure that you'll like the food. The character meal is only available for dinner so you wouldn't have to do the early morning thing. Also, in my opinion, the way it's set up it has a more comfortable feel to it.

Cape May Cafe at the BC is a good one too. Food is good, atmosphere a little more low key than the park restaurants or CMs. Goofy and pals are in their pool attire here so it's pretty cute. I believe they serve breakfast until 11ish. I think this is a good choice for a more "laid back" character breakfast especially with older kids. DH and I liked this one way before dd was born. ;) Now, dd loves it as well. (Minnie, Chip and/or Dale are also here).

We had a great time with Goofy at Cape May Cafe. The breakfast there is a lot quieter and more relaxing than most character breakfasts, making it an enjoyable experience for those who don't like a lot of crowds and noise. The food is really good too.

I agree, Cape May Cafe breakfast :) The food was good, nice relaxed atmosphere, very playful characters that spent a lot of time with the kids.

I recommend dinner at LTT.

Characters are Goofy, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, & Dale, and Goofy is the "star" of this character meal - it's even named after him - "Goofy's Liberate Your Appetite Dinner". Minnie & Goofy are dressed in "Colonial American" attire. We had great character interaction here last year! The characters came by our table at least twice - not only posing for the pics & signing autographs but really interacting w/ our kids (who can be shy) as well. Pluto tried to steal my DD's roll & lick DS's hair. Minnie & DD had a "discussion" on their outfits (DD told Minnie that she liked her dress).

The food is served family-style - turkey, ham, roast beef, mashed potatoes, dressing, green beans, mac & cheese, Declaration salad, rolls, & apple cobbler & ice cream. Everything except the mac & cheese was really good! I loved the salad!

To me, LTT seems a little less hectic/crazy than some other character meals. Another plus is that the food is served family-style (brought to you), and you're not getting up & down for the buffet - therefore, it "feels" less crowded as well. The dining areas are carpeted, so the "sound" doesn't echo around the restaurant like at some places either.

After you check-in at the podium & when your table is ready, your name is called out like - "The Smiths from Montana!" - really fun!

We had a corner table by a window, & it was just lovely!

We loved Chef Mickey's for dinner. The food was great -DH enjoyed the shrimp and desserts! We celebrated ds's birthday (2 :) and had great character interaction. Another place we had lots of time with Goofy was at AK at Camp Mickey and Minnie. Have a great trip! :goodvibes
