Hi,

We will be on the 3 Day Wonder for our first cruise next week (the 19th) and have a quite a few questions about the character signings (if you can take the time, I apololgize that it is kind of long).

I have read that on the 7 day cruises you can drop off an item (pillowcase, t-shirt etc.) at the guest services desk and it will be autographed by the time the cruise is done. Can they do it on the 3 day cruise?

Will they sign postcards at the desk if they are included if they will do it for a 3 day?

How many characters a day come out?

How many are at Castaway Cay?

How long do they stay out? If there is a long line, will they stay until everyone has had a turn?

And what is the longest anyone has had to stand in line to get a photo or autograph? (I can't stand for a long time due to knee problems and fear my boys might not be able to get the autographs and/or photos they want if I can't wait with them.)

Thank you for all of your help, I have learned soooo much from all of the wonderful DIS cruisers!

Out of Frozen Minnesota we will come to the warmth of Disney! :bounce:

Our experience with the character sessions was very positive. If you are in line, you will be able to get your photo or signature if they are signing them at that particular appearance. At some point in time, a CM will stop people from joining the line.

The princesses were fabulous with all the guests, and generally would talk to the girls, sign the autograph books, have the pics taken. UNLESS they were going over on time...then it was a quick signature, really quick smile a quick pic and then move along.

How old are your boys? When the characters are in the atrium, there are some lobby chairs close to the portholes. If your boys are patient enough - they would be able to wait in line by themselves - with you sitting close by. We had the advantage that our DD was 9 1/2, and was more than capable of waiting in line by herself while DH sat on the chairs. DH didn't get into the whole character scene too much. If your DS's are younger though, I could see them trying to hop between the line and you, which ultimately could lose them their spot in line.

I didn't see too many characters at Castaway Cay, but from the pictures we saw at shutters, we certainly missed a bunch of them. The ones my DD got were Chip n Dale and Maxx.

On the 4-day cruise, the characters were out throughout the day. They post a schedule in the atrium every day. We loved it when the characters were just roaming the hallways! My DD had a great time with Captain Hook in the hallways - he kept trying to steal stuff from her!

Many people were waiting in line before the character appearance start time - especially if it is something like the Princess events!

Hi!

Thank you for the info. We have three DS ages: almost 10, 7 and 4 1/2. The older two could stand, but the youngest... hard to say. My DH isn't into the whole thing as much, but may change when we get caught up in the magic!

I will make sure to check the atrium for the postings, than you for the tip.

Since I don't have daughters, but do have nieces, would the Princesses sign things for them if I were to wait in line? I was thinking of sending them a postcard with the picture of the particular princess and their autograph.

Have a great night!

Try no to miss the Til We Meet Again Farewell in the Atrium on the last night. This is a great opportunity for photos and autographs with many of the characters and the cast from the shows.
