I am thinking of having the chacters sign a photo matte while we are at disney next week. Has anyone done this before? Is carrying it around a giant pain in the tuchus?

Also which characters dont sign?

Thanks!

I don't have the answer to your questions, but I LOVE your idea! I may have to do that.

I was thinking about doing this on our upcoming trip but now that you mention it, it may be a pain to carry around. I'm curious to see what others say here...

It depends on the size. I would find something large and inflexible a pain to carry. Are you doing any character meals? It may be easier to just take it to one of those? Or take a small one for your favorite character to sign, since there will just be one picture inside? When my DD was younger and Tink was her favorite, she painted a small wooden frame from the craft store and had Tink sign that and put a picture of the 2 of them inside.

I took 5x7 mats and had no issues, but I always carry a backpack and just slipped them in a gallon Ziploc with a stuff piece of cardboard. Idea was to get Santa's from all countries to sign, with Anerican Santa and Mrs. across the bottom, but the handler insisted he wouldn't sign and was adamant that I NOT ask. People reported here that Santa DOES sign, so I wonder if that particular one could/would not for some reason and the handler didn't want him put on the spot. Anyway, I didn't find it to be a pain.

I'm doing the same thing next month, but luckily I will be bringing the stroller so I will keep it in that. My girls never look at their autograph book, so I thought this would be a nice touch on the wall with a picture of each of them!

I took 2 that fit an 8x11 picture so it was rather large, I kept it in a 2 gallon ziplock bag along with sharpies, I only used red, black, blue and green but the next ones I will use lots more colors. I only took it to character meals but we had alot of them due to free dining and paying to upgrade to Deluxe dining :) They turned out very cute, I just need to decide what picture to put in them! Too many to choose from:rotfl2:

We did this last September and it turned out great. It was a 11X14 frame with 5x7 cutout for pic. We took it in a back pack that had a laptop compartment. It was padded and so it provided protection from it getting bent.
