Character signatures in the Parks

Haven't been in years, so can anyone tell me if they are still doing the breakfast with Dr. Zeus, you know, with Thing 1 and Thing 2?

Also, do they have character spots for signatures like at Disney? And if so, who will be there now? Like I said, it has been a long time, and I am sure things have changed quite a bit!

There is a character breakfast at the Confisco Grille Thursday thru Sunday. The characters are usually Spiderman, Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 & Thing 2.

Characters are around both of the parks. The regularly appearing ones are Spiderman, Capt America, several X-Men characters, etc. in the Marvel Super Heros section. Cat in the Hat, Grinch, and Thing 1 & Thing 2 in the Seuss Landing section. Scooby Doo, Curious George, Woody Woodpecker in the KidZone. Shrek and Donkey at the exit to Shrek 4-D. Spongebob Squarepants at the exit to Jimmy Neutron. And, now that the ride is opening, the Simpsons are regulars too.

There are a bunch of others that are hit or miss. We had a list going at one point. Let me see if I can dig that post up.

Remember that many characters "sign" autographs with a stamp (or the TM with them does it for them). Also, one of the fun things about US/IOA is that you never really know what characters you'll see from one visit to the next.

Like Tricia stated...the characters at the Studios roam around all over the park. It's pretty easy to get pictures and autographs though. At IOA, the super heroes come out at different times and at Seuss Landing, the characters are usually always around.

We were at the parks last week. All of the characters mentioned above were available for hugs, photos and autographs.
Woody Woodpecker, Curious George and Scooby moved to new locations several times during the day.

Is there some sort of schedule you can get with what times the characters will be where? Like they do at Disney Hollywood Studios?

My son won't want to miss Spidey, Spongebob or Scooby.

They just kind of show up...remember...Spiderman, the super heroes and the Seuss characters will be at IOA and Scooby and the others will be at the Studios.

Great my daughter loves getting autographs and pictures. Can you tell me if Universal sells some type of autograph book. Is it similar to the books Disney sells. Where is a good place to purchase something like that? Thanks for the info.

Yes...Universal has an autograph book and it can be found at any of the larger stores at either park.

When we were there, the park guides listed the times and locations of some of the characters. Here is what the list looked like, keeping in mind that these are from summer, 2007:

So, some of the regulars are scheduled, but there are a bunch that aren't.

Isn't Fiona usually out with Shrek and Donkey? I don't see her on the schedule, but we've gotten our pic. with her (not that Donkey gave her much of a chance to talk!).

Hiya - we got the Cat in the hat and thing1/2 - remember they are in character !!! I didn't get the kids back till I said they could keep them......
