Character Pics -- Cheesy.

Only where have the meet and greets like the Judges Tent and TT hall of fame. My least favorite pictures of Mickey and the other characters were taken there. I hate the background and the fact that they are in dark enclosed rooms.
I'll take a pic outside the gates of AK with the crazy gorilla thing over a staged cheesy shot with Mickey any day.
I guess that is why they have the character dining. Have a great one!

I do understand your view; however, some families can't pay the price for character meals. The cheesy pictures maybe the only opportunity to take a picture with their "special" character. I would like to see Disney change the lighting in those areas, I think the pictures would turn out better. Thanks for your post.

They are trying to get many of the Characters inside .This helps keeping them out of the hot sun and the rain.Makes it easier to switch out .

Many, many more guests are also able to have their photo taken with characters at these indoor venues than could ever be done outside or a Character meal.

While there is only one Mickey Mouse, you might notice the Judge's Tent allows for about four rooms in which a guest might meet Mickey Mouse.

In 1999 we took our DD when she was 3 to Magic Kingdom and we had our picture taken with Mickey in the Judge's tent.

We have the picture hanging up on our fridge.

................

We went back to Magic Kingdom with DD in March 2006 (she was 9).
We had our picture taken AGAIN with Mickey in the Judges tent.

We got our pictures developed.....

THE BACKGROUNDS WERE THE SAME IN 2006 AS THEY WERE IN 1999!!!

So, now we have the 2 pictures on our fridge.
1 of them shows a "younger" version of our family

1 of them shows the current version of our family.

IT'S PRETTY EEERRIE.

I agree that it would be cool if they changed the backgrounds with the seasons.

On a positive note though, we found the Judges Tent in Toontown and the character Connection at EPCOT to have the shortest lines to meet Mickey Mouse.
