I have a number of character names I want to do. I want to put them all on colored shirts, some pink, red, blue, black, etc. I am assuming I need to use the dark transfers, right? How do you cut it out so that it looks right? Do you just leave the white around it? Or do you try to cut out the names as closely as you can so that no white from the paper shows?

I know this sounds like a dumb ?, but I'm a beginner and I've messed up enough transfer paper and shirts already and am trying to avoid another mistake. lol! And that stuff ain't cheap either! Who knew that transfer paper cost so much!

I copied and pasted my designs into MS Word, and then put a border around each design. You can use different styles and colors of borders, and it made it much easier to cut them out. It does put a white background around the design, but the colored border makes the design look nicely defined on the shirt. This was my first try at iron-ons, but they turned out looking fabulous! :goodvibes
