We just got back from the Wonder and realized they are missing one very important princess.

They have a restaurant (Triton's) and a statue of ARIEL, but no character appearance.

It seems that she would be the more appropriate character instead of one of the others that are there.

They have an Ariel statue and a restaurnat named for Ariel's father Triton, and you would think that a mermaid/princess would be perfect for a cruise character. When we took my daughter to the princess party last March on the Wonder, there was cinderella, & snow white (which of course she knew), but they also had Alice in Wonderland and Wendy Darling from Peter Pan (which I thought was a bit of a stretch calling them princesses!) Do they think that kids would be dissapointed if Ariel had legs instead of fins?princess:

I noticed her absence too!
Leslie- I thought about that too, and I couldn't remember
seeing Ariel at WDW either. Maybe a little to much explaining to do!
I overhead one mother trying to explain how Mickey could be on the cruise and at WDW too.

I would love to have heard that one ... I think it would be hard to answer

disneybride96, Ariel has her own meet & greet area in Fantasy Land at the MK, it's called Ariel's Grotto. She's in her seashells and fins and is seated, I think on a rock or something. I've never gone to see her personally but I've seen the pictures. She was stationary and you had to stand or sit next to her to have your picture taken. I would think they could set something like that up the ship, but I haven't been on the ship so I don't know where they would put it if they did. :)

There is a character dinner at DCA where Ariel is the hostess....she needs to be pushed around on this cart to get around. It actually looks quite strange:scratchin. She pretty much stayed in the lobby the entire time...just sitting there on this cart, then being pushed around from time to time. I would imagine that from seeing how difficult it is to get Ariel around, it isn't the easiest character to have, although it fits in with DCL for sure!

first time I read about a Princess party. Oh my Granddaughters will love that. When and where?;)

two-foxes ~ I was thinking as I was reading these posts that mobility has got to be the issue! No wonder she wants to trade those flippers for legs....She misses all the good parties! She gets the loser dates. They are the only ones willing to push her around on her little cart all night. LOL!

I've got a couple of pics with my DD & DH posing with Ariel at her "Grotto" at MK. I think DH looked happier than DD in those shots... He said- gotta love those sea shells! :)

Princess Party on the Magic.

One of the days (at sea, I think) they have an announced autograph party in the lobby. No ship's photographer there.

Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Aurora, Pocahontas, Mulan. The girls were wonderful with the kids, talking with them, listening to them, not just "here's your autograph, NEXT". Heaven for a 6 y.o. girl.

GET THERE EARLY! Before the announced time. They were turning people away from the end of the line before the finishing time because so many people were in line.
