I'm so sad, I called today to get seating at Cinderella's breakfast for our trip and they were already booked. (2/4/03-2/8/03)

We did get PS at the Princess Breakfast in Norway (I had made that reservation when I booked my room in November)

I am a little confused about something though. Do I need to call to confirm my PS prior to arrival? Is my PS guaranteed in any way? I didn't give a Credit Card, but I am staying at a resort, so they have my CC in their system.

My DW and I have been to Disney many times and have never called ahead to confirm our PS. We check on them when we arrive and have never had anything missing. However, if you are concerned, you should call them to check -- the peace of mind would be worth the phone call.

Sorry you couldn't get into Cindy's, but don't give up. Cancellations happen all the time; keep trying for the days you want and maybe some magic will happen for you!

The only time I've confirmed anything was when I wanted to make sure our son's birthday would be celebrated in some way this past trip.

Why not try the castle for lunch or dinner? The view of Fantasyland and the fireworks is awesome!

Credit card number is only required for Cindy's breakfast PS, which is now really a more traditional reservation. For other meals a PS is not needed, regardless of whether you're staying at a Disney resort and they have your CC on file. If you don't show up for a PS (other than Cindy's breakfast), there's no penalty and no charge. Your PS is guaranteed as a matter of Disney policy, but you have no recourse if it's lost.

Remember that a PS is not a reservation. It just means that you'll be seated ahead of people who show up at the restaraunt without a PS. It does not guarantee to get you a table at a specific time, and they are not holding a table for you.
