I finally narrowed down the trip...
Sept 21-25th- We are celebrating bdays and my moms fight with cancer!!

We did a character breakfast at the Tusker House last time- It was nice- the food wasnt the best though. EXPENSIVE too but we are going on the dining plan so its included...

Help me pick a good one with good food.

We have done a few breakfasts, but prefer to use our meals as lunch and dinner for more variety and bang for your buck too. The breakfasts we have done seemed pretty much the same buffets food wise. The only breakfasts we will do from now on is character meals that only happen as a breakfast.

We did Crystal Palace lunch (Pooh & Characters)... Buffet, food was good, and filling.

I love the Crystal Palace. The surroundings are beautiful, the food is good (especially salads and desserts), and everybody loves Pooh and Tigger!

We did Akershus for breakfast, but got the latest seating we could so it was our lunch for the day. DH didn't want to try their lunch/dinner menu. We also did 1900 Park Fair for dinner. Both meals were good, and the characters were great! 1900 was my favorite of the two.

Some of our favorite character meals include:

Crystal Palace for breakfast -- Try to get an ADR for before the park opens, like 8:05-8:15, that way you're among the first in the park and get to see Main Street empty and have amazing views of the Castle

Garden Grill for dinner -- I enjoyed the fresh salad made with veggies grown in The Land there at Epcot, and thought the food was pretty good. It's served family-style so you don't have to line up at a buffet - it's all brought to your table. Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale are there.

We used to go to Chef Mickey's every trip or two, but last time dinner wasn't very good, in our opinion, so it's off our list. We tried Hollywood & Vine once for the character breakfast and weren't impressed and don't plan to return, although now that our youngest just found out that Jake is there, we might have to.

Other favorites (no characters):
Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch
Tutto Italia
Whispering Canyon
Le Cellier
Cape May

We love 1900 Park Fair. Food is pretty good (it's a buffet so adjust your expectations accordingly, lol. I happen to love their strawberry soup) but the character interaction is the best. The video of my two girls dancing with Cinderella and Prince Charming are priceless.

H&V doesn't have great food, IMO but when we went the character interaction was good. I guess the restaurant wasn't full when were there for breakfast so all of the characters visited our table several times (maybe too many times - my youngest was terrified of Leo and I think he took it as a challenge and just kept coming back, lol.)
