Is Chef Mickey's THAT much better/different than other character meals such as Crystal Palace or 1900 Fare, etc.? We have reservations for 7:20am on the morning of my daughter's 2nd bday, but we're thinking this might be too early for us now, especially since we'll be out late the night before probably. I'd like to re-book elsewhere, but am hesitant to do so since this is the top rated character meal. Anyone's experiences/opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

A lot of people really seem to like Chef Mickey's but I thought it was just okay. Not bad, but not nearly as wonderful as so many others think. The food was just okay. The food at some of the other character meals is much better in my opinion. The character interaction was good but it was similar to as the character interaction at Crystal Palace, Cape May, Storybook Dining and Tusker House. I didn't book it my last trip or this upcoming trip. My girls thought it was fun to see the characters, but they were just as happy at the other character meals. I wouldn't book something that early unless you are staying there that night and plan to be up early anyway.

CM is great because the have the Fab 5! The food is good, but nothing you can't find elsewhere...especially for breakfast. We really enjoyed CP and TH for breakfast too. If you plan on going to that specific park you can try to get ADRs before the park opens and have some special time in the park.

In my opinion CHEF MICKEY'S is the best Disney feeling resturant. It don't get better then this. I would never cancel this place. Love Chef Mickey's.
