We have been going to Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace for 5 trips now and when we go again in 6 days (:cool1: :cool1: ) we'll be dining at those two places again. We love character meals, but were thinking about chaging t up next year.

When we go to EPCOT we definetely want to go to The Princess Breakfast in Norway.

But when we go to the Magic Kingdom were considering a few options. Either Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's (depending on what character and meal our family likes beter) or 1900 Park Fare. We want a god meal so doe 1900 Park Fare have a good meal and is breakfast or dinner better.

Also, we like to try new places so I'll list where we have eaten and see if anyone has any suggestions of other places to try.

-Ohana's
-Trail's End
-Whispering Canyon
-California Grill
-Boma
-Portabello
-Spoodles
-Cape May Cafe
-Yachtsman Gallery
-Yachtsman Steakhouse
-Cinderella's Royal Table
-Kona Cafe
-Grand Flordian Cafe
-Chef Mickey's
-Crystal Palace
-Olivia's Cafe
-Shula's Steakhouse

So any suggestions of where to try?????

Dinner at 1900 PF was great. Definitely give it a shot.

This year (for character meals) we are going to do..

Crystal Palace (repeat)
Norway Breakfast (new)
Cape May Breakfast (new)

I didn't see HDDR on your list. I have seen that show 3 times going back to the 70's and will be taking my kids for the first time this trip. I would suggest that one!

We did the Tusker House character breakfast last year and my 6 year old DD absolutely loved it. She told me that it was the best meal that she had ever had at Disney; she even picked it again for our trip this year over Chef Mickeys.

We also enjoyed Tusker House breakfast. The food was okay, the characters were great.

We love Crystal Palace, the food and service are very good and they have the best character interaction.

My dd loves Chef Mickeys and 1900 PF, but I wasn't crazy about the food at either one, but we will go back because she likes it.

Also, we really liked the breakfast at Cape May, the food was very good and very fresh, but my dd was disappointed because Mickey wasn't there.

The princess meal at Akershus is a must do for us, great food, characters and service plus the photos.

I want to change things up on our next trip so I am thinking about doing CRT or O'hanas for breakfast

You should definitely try 1900 Park Fare- the food is good and the character interaction is great! This is one of our favorite character meals.

What age group is ideal for Chef Mickey's?

I had a teacher a few years ago that was a HUGE disney freak, when I told her we had only stayed at FW but had never seen HDDR I thought she was going to have a heart attack. We have never really been intrest in seeing HDDR because its not our cup of tea but we have heard such good things about it.

We have done Cape May for breakfast and we did enoy it but we wouldn't do it again. We only did it because my mom and I were having a girls weekend at Beachclub and it was fun to do because it was right there. At Chef Mickey's you get the same meal and more characters.

I heard Ohana's has a great breakfast (had friends that went there) but you laso have to enjoy the Lilo and Sitch characters to enjoy it more. But I'd go just for the food.

Chef Mickey's is really for any age. We have a 14, 21, 44,43, and 45 year old going next week. I guess the "ideal" would be kids ages 1-10 or anything you would consider young. But overall anyone could enjoy it.

We liked both breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Fare. We also like Garden Grill at Epcot for a character meal. We have always been lucky and had wonderful character interaction there. We used to book either a late lunch or early dinner and it was never busy so the characters came around quite a few times and spent quite a bit of time at the table.

We ate at Whispering Canyon in both May & October last year, mainly due to convenience (we were staying at WL). I wasn't that impressed...

HDDR was lots of fun. Love Crystal Palace!

On our trips we try to do some old and some new, that way you try new things but if yo uare disapointed in some you likely won't be in others. On our last trip we ate at
WCC (always our first night), Kona (new), 50sPT(repeat, but not in a few years), Cali Grill (new, our worst meal), CM dinner (always for Thanksgiving dinner), CRT(every trip for breakfast), LeCellier(new, and amazing!), Akerhaus (new, and liked a lot) and CM breakfast (every single trip, will never skip it!). LeCellier was the favorite new place for us, maybe you'd like that. Also, for CS, we tried WPE for the first time and were blown away, one of our best meals (actually 2, we went back twice) the whole trip!

Everyone's opinions will vary though, but that's my $.02.

I would recommend 1900 PF for breakfast. Its wonderful!

our last trip we did CRT and Ohano' s for breatfast and both were pretty good, I really think when you doing character meals the food is secondary.......that being said to try something new for your other dining choices I'd highly recommend Jiko and Cg.....also like spoodles and FF

We've never been dissapointed in anyplace we ate at disney.

We've heard that Jiko's is awesome and we might try there.

1900 is very good place to eat. Been here several of times. For Bk & Din.

dumb ? where is 1900 located? Maybe I'm not finding it cuz I'm looking at the places that participate in the Dining plan?

We love Le Cellier and Biergarten! As far as character meals go we are doing CP(a must), 1900 Park Fare(new) and are also looking at trying Askerhus (new) for breakfast on our next trip. Oh and we love California Grill, we have our anniversary dinner there ever time we go!

1900 Park Fare is in the Grand Floridian resort. Yes, it is on the dining plan.

We are on the QSDP, thought it would be nice and simple for our first trip to disney with a 4 and 2 year olds. My 4 year old is a VERY picky eater, most times his nearly 2 year old sister eats more than him! We were still going to do 2 character meals though. Chef Mickey's is a definite and then I've got it narrowed down to: 1900 Park Fare, Garden Grill, Akershus, or Hollywood & Vine. Our kids would enjoy any/all of the characters at this list, so now it's just basically come down to what food is the best for a picky eater - especially since we'll be paying for the meals out of pocket. Thoughts, suggestions?? :scratchin
