ill start by saying we have done plaza inn twice, but it's been over 3 years. We have 10, 7 and almost 3 year old daughters in tow...
We arrive Sunday early( in October) . Would you
A. Go to Goofy's for dinner
B) go earliest available for Minnie's Monday morning?

If you have eaten at both, which is your fav and why?

We have been to all of the character meals and these two are my favourites. You'll enjoy either one, but they are a bit different. Is your family more into breakfast foods or dinner? Goofy's will cost much more than Minnie's, but it's a great option on a non-park day. I really like to do Goofy's on arrival day if we're not going into the parks that day. I really like the food at Goofy's and the kids can make their own sundaes and the desserts are endless! However, I haven't been to Goofy's since they paired down their characters - they used to have two "face" characters there, but it sounds like they aren't doing that any more. If you do Goofy's, make sure that you arrive early. We have always had to wait in line for quite a while before being seated.

We always do Minnie's as a tradition, because we really enjoy it and it's convenient being right in the park. I like to book a 10:30am reservation so that we can hit ropedrop and get several rides in (depending on what time the park opens) and then we're ready for a break. We usually count this meal as lunch, have an icecream break at around 2pm or so and then have an early dinner.

We've done both and enjoy both. The character interaction has been good at both locations for us. I think we see more characters at Minnies but my kids don't always know who they are. I'd probably go with which ever meal your family enjoys more.

I love to start the trip with a character meal - especially when you're not doing a park until the next day. However I'm also not the biggest fan of breakfast food so I like being able to do a different meal - especially since Minnie's is such a basic breakfast. I'm more willing to do breakfast buffets when there are some more unique choices.

My family has done both, and I would definitely pick Goofy's for dinner. I don't know if we went to Minnie's on an "off" day or what, but I wasn't at all impressed with their food or the character interaction. I know a lot of people really love it though, so we might give it another try one day. I loved how many characters there were, but the interactions felt very rushed and we had to wait a long time to see them all. A lot of the food was cold as well.

We LOVE Goofy's- I feel like the characters spend a lot of time with you, and the environment seems a little less chaotic. I also thought the food was really good (for a character meal/buffet). We have done breakfast twice and did dinner for the first time on our last trip and loved it. I am planning on us doing dinner there on our first night for our upcoming trip. I love getting a little taste of the magic before hitting the actual parks the next day!

One thing I think Minnie's really has going for it though is good lighting, particularly outside. Some of our character pictures from Goofy's don't turn out the best because of the low-lighting, while all of our pics from Minnie's were awesome.

Actually was very pleasantly surprised with dinner at Goofy's. The price is high, but the food is definitely better than the "usual" fare at character buffets.
