This past March we hardly got to see any characters at all. We were there the week of Easter. It was of course very very crowded, and we missed out on a lot. Not to mention the snow storm out by us taking away two days from us.

Any way just to make sure we get to see some characters I plan on booking ADRs with the following restaurants:

Ohana: breakfast of course- love Stitch
Garden Grill: lunch have to see Chip and Dale
1900 Park Fare: breakfast and lunch. want to meet the Mad Hatter, and have to meet Tremaine family, plus see their antics.
Chef Mickeys: breakfast a must
Cyrstal Palace: of course to see Pooh and friends
Princess breakfast in Norway- Epcot to insure seeing some princesses

and maybe Liberty Tree Tavern: in MK just for the fun of.

Is this going overboard? In case it is really packed again I want to make sure we have some time with the characters.

It does seem like alot of character meals but it will guarantee you lots of characters. :goodvibes

If you wanted to leave one out-how about CP? You can still see W the P at PF as well as Tigger. OF course no Eeyore or Piglet (I think those are the ones at CP). The Mad Hatter is pretty funny. DD8 had a great time with him on her 7th birthday. We were there for a late ADR (our last day) and we had the characters almost all to ourselves.

Here'd MH cutting up with DD.

I am doing the breakfast every day with the characters. Considering I only do DISNEY every couple of years, 7 breakfasts out of 730 is not too many!

I don't think it is going overboard! My family loved the character meals.

This year we are doing: Princess Breakfast, Cindy's Royal Table, Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace and Liberty Tree Tavern!

We are doing a few non character meals though. We are also eating at: Lecellier, Boma, and Mama Melrose.

The character interaction is so much nicer than in the parks because there is no line watching and waiting for you to finish.

Thanks thats a thought. I hear Tigger can be great fun. Chances are since Eeyore and Piglet are so shy (don't take this wrong, I still love them too) but we wouldn't be missing out on too much with them.

Yes, I have read about a lot of fun stories with the Mad Hatter.

DH just said instead of Liberty Tree Tavern he would prefer Whispering Canyon Cafe. The more I think about it I agree with this.

I don't think it's overboard, but another thread is rumoring that LTT won't have characters acter 2008?

last Dec we did 'Ohanas , Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, and loved them all..
this Dec it's just my husband and me and we are only doing CRT, & Chef Mickeys, but we are trying several other new restaurants too...:woohoo:

I am planning on booking us an ADR for Mama Melrose too since both DH and DD love Italian food. (I'm not too big on it but I can order a salad and soup or something)
We are also planning on Yak and Yeti, San Angel Inn (again DH request- hoping I can find something I can eat that won't ruin my stomach) Hollywood Brown Derby, LeCellar for lunch, and like I said Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Almost all of the above places we have never been to. We are trying to visit new places since it will be a while before we can return to DW after this trip in March.

I dont think its too many at all! You have a great balance of meals and you have lots of different characters, its not like you are going to 5 character meals that have mickey, minnie and donald. Great places to eat too! You and your family will have so much fun!!

In my opinion, you can never do enough character meals!
Just FYI, per some threads on this site, LTT will no longer be a character dinner after 1/5/09.

We are doing a lot too. Would rather see them with my kids sitting in a nice cool restaurant rather than standing in a hot line! My kids have never been so I really want them to soak it all in. We're doing...

-1900 Park Fare dinner
-Chef Mickey's breakfast
-Liberty Tree Tavern dinner
-Princess Breakfast in Norway
-Donald breakfast at Tusker House
-O'hana breakfast with Lilo & Stitch
-Crystal Palace dinner

Exactly! It is so much nicer sitting in a cool restaurant then standing in a hot line. That is a good excuse for all the characters meals. :thumbsup2

There is NO such thing as TOO MANY character meals!:rotfl:

We have ten planned for our visit.:goodvibes

this is such a personal thing and it really is up to the individual, that being said, because you asked, my answer is yes for me that would be too many. we do 2 character meals for our weeks we are there. for us thats perfect.
but if you love the character meals so much, them youll enjoy that.

FWIW - I have read on these boards and on allears that Garden Grill will no longer be serving LUNCH after October 5th (2008) and that Liberty Tree Tavern will no longer be a character meal as of January '09.

We are doing lots of Character meals too.

Lunch at Chef Mickeys
Dinner at Cinderellas Royal Table and Liberty Tree

We are also doing:
