Character Meals Just For Kids??

Hey Everyone,

We are going to WDW in June for our honeymoon. It will be the first trip for both of us. We are both big breakfast eaters and are hoping to go to some of the character breakfasts. Can these be fun for adults too? Is it difficult to interact with the characters without kids? How has your experience been with this?

By the way, breakfasts we are considering include CP, Akershus, Tusker House, and Cape May.

Character meals are fun no matter what your age

We took my Dad & Stepmom last year (late 50's/early 60's) and I know they were a little unsure but they had a blast! We started their trip with breakfast at Cape May and Dad was shocked when Goofy sat down at our table When we went to Garden Grill, Pluto was flirting with my Stepmom and teasing my Dad.

If you're receptive to the characters, they'll be interactive with you

So TOTALLY NOT just for kids!!

Although my kids do enjoy them... DH and I would do one without them ~ given the chance.

No kids for us yet and we LOVE the character meals. If you are excited to meet them, they'll be excited to meet you. At Cape May we've had some very funny experiences with Goofy - flexing his muscles to compare with my brother-in-law, arm wrestling, etc. Go and have a great time!

we went to WDW on our honeymoon 9 yrs ago and we ate at several character meals and never once did we feel out of place

Definately not just for kids. The characters, particuarly goofy, play up to the adults too. At Cape Mays once, Goofy wrote a note on our tablecloth for our waiter and he was having a go at the waiter and then they were having a skuffel after the waiter read the note, it was a classic. I love character meals just as much as my DS does, probably more, I'm the obsessed one who does character meal bookings/overload, no really I book the character meals for my DS not myself

DH and I go to character meals all the time! We love CP, Cape May, and many many others

Usually DH shakes hands with the characters and I get the hugs. Its fun!

Absolutely - go and have a great time!!

In fact, last Feb. we were at Akershus for breakfast and it was awesome by the way, but there was a couple only at the table next to us - they were having a great time, in fact DH took a few pics for them, with them & the characters. They really enjoyed seeing DS with the princesses - it was cute. But, they seemed to be having a wonderful time. I'm sure you will too!!!

Definitely check out the character meals! If you pick up the bride & groom ears, you will get even more attention from the characters as well! Also, make sure you tell them when booking ADR's that it's your honeymoon. CONGRATULATIONS!!

And some character meals can be more fun for adults as well. Personally, I would recommend O'Hana. First it's family style, so you don't have to keep getting up for a buffet. But mostly it's because of Stitch, he will joke around with you and play whether you're a child or adult. We had a great time there in April and got some great pictures of Stitch with DW.

I enjoy the breakfast character meals as well. The characters have to stop at every table, child or not, and you can take pictures and say hello. It's alot of fun regardless!

We've gone to plenty of character meals and do not have kids. Go, have fun, and enjoy yourself!

Go and have fun! My husband and I went to Disney for our 1 year anniversary (many years ago ) We went to a character breakfast and had a great time. We received more attention than some of the children. Several people offered to take pictures for us. It was a great experience.
