Character Meals? How long?

How long do character meals usually take? Once you are done eating do you still sit there and wait for characters?

I think it depends somewhat on the location - how many characters they have, how big a loop they have to do to see all the tables. I'd assume at least 45 for characters to make it to all the tables (so that you would have a complete loop). But I'd figure a hour for a buffet meal, maybe longer for a sit down. You can certainly stay after you are done eating to see more if you haven't had them all visit yet. But unless they are running really slowly, you generally should get to see them all during the course of a meal.

I'd plan on about an hour on average.

We did breakfast at Chef Mickey's yesterday (yes, I am checking the boards from my room at CBR on an afternoon break )

It took about an hour and 15 minutes for all the characters to make it to our table. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto were there.

It took longer than we expected, but the kids had a blast!

It really just depends on which restaurant and how many characters there are. We have eaten at Garden Grill, Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace. The meals were usually an hour. One time, it was an hour and fifteen minutes.

I always take about an hour at every character meal, but I usually see all of the characters by the time I'm done eating. At CRT, (at lunch,) I saw them all as I was eating my entree. At CP, two of the times I've eaten there I saw all of them while I was eating. The second time I ate there, (out of three times,) I saw Tigger and Piglet quickly, but Eeyore and Pooh took awhile to come around. That still took less then an hour though because I had an 8:05 ADR, and I was still out of the restaurant by rope drop. At LTT I saw them all while I was eating my entree, same at Garden Grill. At Akershus they seem to be spaced out better, but they still come out quickly enough, and while I'm eating.

For buffets and character meals you can figure an hour to an hour and a half for eating. For all other TS meals you can figure on an hour to two hours, if you order a full meal.

It took FOREVER to see all the characters at the Hollywood and Vine lunch! My DD wanted to see JoJo and June the most and they kept skipping our table. We finally said something and they made sure they made their way over. It just took forever- all others character meals we had the characters were great and timely!
