From most of my reading on here a lot of people do the character meals at breakfast, we will be doing the DDP and would like to use our TS for character meals but not in the morning, which offer character meals for dinner time? And which are you favs?

I am pretty sure all character meals are buffets (except CRT). At least Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's are.
And these 2 have characters at dinner as well.

I think there is a character buffet at GF for dinner.

We love Crystal Palace for dinner. The food is good and the restaurant is so cute, not to mention getting to meet Pooh and friends. ;)

Chef Mickeys, 1900 Park Fair, Akershus, CRT, Garden Grill, and Crystal Palace all have a character dinner. When we were there in September we had dinner at Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fair. Both were buffets and the food was good. The food at Chef Mickey's appealed to us more. Crystal Palace, CRT, and Akershus also have character lunches. Our favorite meal though was the Crystal Palace breakfast. We got an ADR before the park opened so it was a treat to get in early and get some pictures without people walking down mainstreet. We also had a late breakfast at Akershus. The breakfast food was good, not sure about lunch or dinner, but if you have a princess fan, this would be a good one.

Thank you both, there was so much talk of all the great charcter breakfasts that I wasn't sure which places offered dinners also.! Thanks again!

We ate at Crystal Palace our first night for dinner and loved it! Good food, good characters, and great ambience!

Our favorite was LTT, until they stopped it!:sad2: It had great character interaction and the food was great comfort food--Thanksgiving dinner.:goodvibes

Now I guess our favorite is GG at Epcot. It has some different offerings; not the same thing as every other Disney restaurant. The character interaction was great and was more on the laid back, quiet side because there isn't a buffett.:thumbsup2

Crystal Palace was our favorite. Good food and lots of it.;)

We also really enjoyed Garden Grille. It's served family-style, and with young kids it was nice to be able to sit down rather than jumping up to the buffet every few minutes. And, the kids loved the revolving restaurant.

If you have a princess fan, Akerhaus is great too. Five different princesses there, and the food is pretty good.

we did 1900 park fare for dinner. we're not big buffet eaters but they had a good variety of offerings. if you like the characters of cinderella you'll love eating here. the step sisters were hysterical...i don't think we ever laughed so much over a meal. they didn't come up and just smile and take a pic like the princesses do at other places they had a ton to say and were soooo in character. they were fabulous. we've also done crt for dinner. it's not a buffet and the princesses go table to table for pics etc...this wasn't really any different to me as when we went to the princess breakfast in norway/epcot.

We have eaten at Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's for dinner. Both were suprisingly good for buffet food and considering all the reviews here on the boards. I was expecting really bad food, but it was decent to really good in some cases. Pooh characters at CP and Mickey and friends at CM. We really enjoyed CM. Getting to have the individual time with the classic characters was awesome. Oh yeah, we dont have kids either, but judging from the reaction of the kids at both places you couldn't go wrong with either one!

I have done both dinner and breakfast at chef mickey, and crystal palace. ( these are my favs)

We did dinner at Cindy's ( food not worth it, but it was the kid's favourite place though they only ate bread and butter and dessert), and in Norway love this place.

I also love Hollywood and Vine even though they are younger characters, I love their buffet. I have also heard great things about Tusker house.

The one thing is that Breakfast is cheaper, so next visit we are doing mostly breakfast or as close as lunch as possible to eat later but still get the price of breakfast. But if you are on the dining plan price isn't the problem

The one thing I found that with dinner, if you were enjoying yourself in the park, you had to watch the time and then in most cases the parks were closed or almost closed when we were finished dinner.

Breakfast or lunch is better cause you will always have time afterward to play in the parks.

You should read the menus on the disunplugged to see what they offer and if that is what you are looking for in a meal.

My personal favorite is Crystal Palace... My kids love Chef Mickey

we recently did Garden Grill.. the food was decent, but the character interactions were great!!

We prefer the Princess breakfasts over dinner.

Thanks everyone for such great info!

We are on the DDP, so get one sit down a day and we are also staying CL so I know that most of our breakfast will be items we grab at the lounge, we arn't big breakfast eaters, dh and I don't ever eat breakfast, the kids are happy with cereal or a breakfast fruit bar with some juice so I'm afriad that our TS credit would be wasted if we used it for breakfast.
