The first time we went to Disney was when my twins (b/g) were 2 years old. Now here I am, planning trip 5 with 8 1/2 yr olds. Each trip has been wonderful and filled with memories. I made a ressie for CRT and would like some equally special for my son. Any suggestions? I'm also venturing out to new restaurants on this trip. I'm including Tusker House and coral reef this year. Any other suggestions? We always go to Biergarten and liberty tree tavern...those are "musts". I love planning as much as the trip!

For an 8 year old boy I sugest Ohana breakfast with Stitch. My son is 6 and it is his favorite character meal. Stitch, Lilo, Mickey, and Pluto so very boy oriented characters. Tusker House is great too.

Other suggestions
T-Rex-if he likes dinosaurs
Crystal Palace-if he like Pooh
Garden Grill- Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. Family style thanksgiving food.

So it's a not a meal but what about doing the Pirate and Pals Fireworks cruise? We did it last year and really enjoyed it. There is a dessert party and you get to meet Smee and Hook. You then go out on the boats with 'Pirates' that tell jokes and play games. The night ends meeting Peter Pan. We went since my DD was completely obsessed with Jake and the Neverland Pirates. She had the best time and I thought it was worth it.

Check out Cape May Cafe for breakfast and Chef Mickey's! My friend has two boys the same age as yours and they love both places!
