Hi all,
I have read a ton of information but haven't seen this addressed yet:
Should we take the kids to a character meal if we are going to be cruising after three days in the parks? I know several people say the CM should not be missed, but I am guessing that they will see all of the characters on board and that I should save my $$ - What are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance

We are on the 3 land / 4 sea cruise and have character breakfasts planned for all three morning while at WDW. The first time we did this it was so the kids could spend some quality time with the characters (get pictures, autographs without having to wait in line at the parks) plus we would fill up on breakfast (to give us lots of energy at the parks), have ice cream for lunch at the parks, and then an early supper. This way we are really only paying for two meals. Although the CBs are more expensive you really get your money's worth.

We are doing this again for the same reasons and I think having more character time on the cruise is a bonus and part of the experience.

My most fav. breakfasts are Chef Mickey's.

We spent one day at MK after our 7 day cruise and did a character meal at Crystal Palace because Pooh and his friends don't cruise. I like character meals for my kids because you don't have to wait in line. So, it all depends on how much time you want to spend at a sit down meal. My kids are young enough that this type of break is necessary... GL..

We like the character meals also, but one for the week (on the ship) is plenty for us. This is purely a matter of personal taste but I would save the time and money of doing the character breakfast at WDW and either sleep-in or enjoy the early morning in a park instead.

I agree...the characters on the cruises are very plentiful. If you feel the need to do a Character Meal - go for Crystal Palace and see my buddies from 100 Acre Forest, and give Eeyore a big hug from me - he's my favorite!

Just curious, how do you make reservations for the CB. How do you find out what breakfast are available for reservations? This will be our first time at Disney World. Staying at the Poly before cruise
