character meals at Nick Hotel

We are renting a villa in Indian Creek in June and are planning to do some things other than Disney. What can you tell me about any kind of character meals at the Nick Hotel?

It's my understanding that the character meals are only open to guests of the hotel.

You cannot get on the property at all unless you are a guest at the resort, or have a reservation and are checking in. You cannot just go for the character breakfast.

I'm afraid this is true! We stayed there shortly after it opened and had to give our ressie # and dates we were staying to book the character breakfast.
