Character Meal Vouchers

Has anyone purchased the premium character dining vouchers from aRes travel? We have a meal booked at Ariels on Sept 11th and am wondering if this is worth the time organising. It doesnt say on the site but I have read elsewhere that these vouchers include tax and gratuity. I was told when I booked the meal that the price was $39,95 (+T&G) and the vouchers are $40 each (we have 12 people going and have also ordered a cake) Do you have to let Disney know when you book that you are using these vouchers? Anything else I need to know about using them (or any bad experiences from anyone who tried to use one?)

The vouchers are only worth it if you are having lunch or dinner. You lose $ with breakfast. We had lunch there on our last trip and it was DH and my favorite meal.
You do not have to tell them ahead of time that you will be using vouchers.

We used our vouchers at Ariels in July. Our meal for two adults, no alcoholic drinks was roughly $95 with tax and tip. We just left them when they brought the check, so you don't need to let them know in advance.

Have used vouchers from Ares, Getawaytoday and LMT and have never had any issue with using them at all. We have only used them for Goofy's and for Minnies, but no problems at all. For a party of 12, that would save quite a bit for you, just in gratuity alone!

I was just looking at buying the Premium Character Meal from Getawaytoday to go to Goofy's in October. I have done some searching here but may be a bit confused.

Can you tell me if my understanding of how this works is correct? Go online and make purchase, receive a receipt by e-mail, go to any ticket booth in the parks and show id to receive the voucher/ticket that I would take to Goofy's for payment.
