Character Meal Ques

Ok... so we are going on our first trip to DL in Aug... and we have 3 character meals booked... Goofy's dinner, Minnie's bfast and Goofy's bfast .... I made priority seating reservations this past week... so my ques is how do they work? I know they are buffet... but is there a time limit? can you get up to talk to a character... or are you encouraged to wait and let them come to you? I am curious as to what to expect.

We've only been to the Minnie & Friends breakfast (from your three), but, yes, you wait at your table and eat and the characters will come to you. They do a really good job of it actually. Each time we've gone my kids are always tempted to get up and go to them and I assure them, they will come to our table for a picture and autgraph, and they always do! I think there is a time limit actually, but they have never asked us to leave and this last time we stayed quite a bit longer than we have ever before because we had a large group.

I believe they come to your table. I can't help with the length of your meal. If you requested a later breakfast, then at some point they may start clearing breakfast so they can put out lunch.

Yes, the characters will come to you and it's requested that you don't go to the characters. When that happens, it becomes a free for all and chaos ensues.

You are allowed about 80 minutes for your meal. They wont come to your table at the point and tell you to leave, but they will subtly let you know you've been there long enough. :lol Actually we've never had a problem with the time and always ready before time is up. We did stay a bit long at Goofys once, but it was because some of the characters were slow to get to our section.

The last time we were there the greeter told us that we had about 90 minutes for the meal and interaction. Definately enough time. Many characters and it reall y was not that busy at 1730, the ressie time.

We did Minnie's Breakfast and Goofy's Kitchen when we were there a few weeks ago. Both were great! The characters come to you, and yes, a 90 min maximum is what we were told. It was plenty of time for us. Have a great time. You'll love it!
