Character meal price

I have booked dinner for Christmas Day at Goofy's Kitchen. The price says adults $30-$59.99. How do we know what price we will pay? And if we buy Premium Character Dining vouchers from Ares Travel which currently say $45, if the price is $59.99 at Goofy's that day will we be required to pay the top up or could we save money buying the vouchers ahead of time?

I assume you got that price from the Disneyland website, but it doesn't mean that the price of a meal at Goofy's Kitchen could be as little as $30 or as much as $59.99. Disneyland has their restaurants divided into 4 price levels - $ is under $15 per person, $$ is $15-$29.99 per person, $$$ is $30-$59.99 per person, and $$$$ is $60 and over per person. All that means then is that Goofy's Kitchen is a $$$ price level restaurant. A restaurant that costs $30 a person would be a $$$ restaurant, so would a $40 per person restaurant and so on. According to allears.net, the price in October was $38.99 a person, although I would imagine it would be a bit more on Christmas. (I believe the buffets charge a bit more around the holidays.)

For high seasons like Christmas especially on the actual holiday they can/will charge more then a lower time of year (do they have those any more lol). If you buy a voucher you will save money if the prices are raised. The voucher covers you no matter what they raise the price to- so if you paid 35 and the raised it higher you do not pay the difference thus money saved. Check to make sure your voucher includes tip and taxes as not all do.
