What If WDW had a Charecter Meal where the charecters changed from either meal to meal or day to day? They could maybe do it like this say maybe the fab 5 (mickey, minnie, goofy, donald, pluto) for breakfast. At lunch say maybe the Toy story guys. and for dinner maybe have Disney villians. Or maybe say Mon thurs and Sat the fab 5 all day. Tues and friday the toy story guys all day and Weds and sun day the Villians all day. What do you think, or better yet how would you do the meals and characters? :grouphug:

Gulliver's Grill at the Swan has Goofy and Pluto some nights and Rafiki and Timon others. That the closest match to your suggestion right now.

The only potential issues that I can think of right now are 1) Some people will be upset that if they want to see Mickey they have to dine on a Monday (for example) and they won't be at WDW on Monday and 2) Others will want to see Mickey but prefer dinner to breakfast and Mickey's only there for breakfast.

Of course, these are just examples but I think overall providing more options tends to make it more complicated. Look at how confusing many people have found the new ticket structure. Heck, there are people who even have a difficult time picking a resort to stay at, just think if they have to decide between breakfast/lunch/dinner and what characters they want to see if given so many choices!

1900 has Mary Poppins and characters from Alice and wonderland at breakfast, and Cinderella and characters from Cinderella at Dinner.

I kind of like the set schedule all week simply because if they did what you proposed, it would be much more difficult to match up the characters I want. What if Pooh isn't at CP any of the days I want to go to MK? for example?

I have always wondered why they don't offer more variety in characters. Take a restaurant that is not so busy - like Boatwrights - and add some unique characters - like the Incredibles - and I bet Boatwights would be a tough seat to get.

Because the restaurants pay for the entertainment. If they added characters, the prices would increase at that location, and most resorts don't get enough regular business to justify the costs, other than the convenient monorail ones.
