Character meal as a solo Adult male, too weird?

Now you have a good excuse for going back. There's just so much to do there you never get to do everything. December will be such a nice time to go back.

I realize you have gone and come back already, but I still wanted to respond to this.
Honestly- as a parent- I would think you were a little weird for being a single male at a character meal. However, who cares what I think. I don't know you or your circumstances. Don't let what others might think dictate your world. :goodvibes

Would you feel the same about a single female? I'm just wondering what the difference is if both genders are there for food & fun?

Kind of sad for a "single male" to be singled out. No worries though...as a married Dad (oldest 20 and youngest 14) who is traveling alone...I will be at Chef Mickey's...and I will enjoy it! :thumbsup2

I know what you mean. Most double standards work against women in everything from sexuality to driving wrong, but retaining any childlike wonder is more accepted in women. Women will have their pictures taken with Disney characters or with Santa, but any man doing so had better have his wife and children in the picture too or else. While I had a job taking pictures at baseball games, I noticed that women and girls were perfectly comfortable being photographed with their female friends also in attendance and would even hug each other in the picture while males didn't have to get very old before they decided that being photographed with their male friends was "too gay," even though this is San Francisco where people are less likely to care.
