Character Magic Bands

We have been to Disney many times but this will be our first time using magic bands.

We are about to order our bands for our Feb vacation trip, but I just saw that character magic bands will be on sale at WDW. If we go ahead and order the colored bands to use for when we first get there, but then decide to buy character bands once we are there, can we switch over the info (passes, Dining Plan) on to the new bands? Or would we need to wait until the next trip to use the character bands?

You would be able to use them immediately and simultaneously with the old ones.

I was going to try to "Pintrist" decorate up ours if not.

I'm sure there will be since they had them last year. However, we really enjoy decorating our own!

Last year there was a Yoda MB and a Vader MB. They were the ones that activated sounds and lights at the tapstiles in DHS-only and were $29.99. They only became available for the last SWW so I am sure there will be SW MBs ready to go for the 1st weekend if not for May the 4th (Be With You).

Awesome!! And um Pricey. But i could count it as a souvenir
