Character Lunch or Breakfast and Where?

My family and I have the counter service plan but we want to go to one character breakfast, lunch or dinner? I have two boys 10 and 5 my daughtor is only 1 so she really won't know what is going on. What would you recommend for our family this will be our first trip to wdw. Any suggestions will be helpful. Thank you

Crystal Palace - it's got the pooh character. My nephews (14 and 11 at the time) even got into it with us.

If you don't want to eat in a park, we like the Ohaha breakfast at the Poly.

We did breakfasts at both of them. LOVE the fruit they have. It's so nice to eat it in the middle of winter.

Are there any particular characters they like? I really like CP (MK) and CM (Contemp). Both are buffets. CP is B, L, and D and CM is B and D. CP has Pooh characters (Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore) and CM has VIP characters (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald).

Tusker House breakfast at AK is also good. The characters are Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy.

My boys LOVE Tusker House for breakfast! The characters are "cool" because they're safari Mickey, Goofy, etc... Last time we went my DS9 even let Daisy give him a kiss! This same boy wouldn't even go near Pooh at the CP... The food was also very good!

We like Tusker House for breakfast and Crystal Palace as well (we did lunch there). Both seem appealing to boys and girls but really, it depends on what characters they like.

I myself like 1900 Park fare but then againI have no kids. I think with little kids I would do either, Crystal palace or ohana, have a FUN tastic time no matter where you decide

I suggest eating a Character Breakfast because most everyone
loves breakfast foods. Some of the Lunch and dinner meals
with Characters have food that is not very good.
Dinners also cost more than breakfast and lunch.
We've been to several and have really enjoyed:

O'hanas Best Friends Breakfast at the POLY-
the atmosphere is nice, good food and the Characters
are: Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. Ate here 3 times
and will eat here again on upcoming trip.
Served Family Style all you can eat so they bring the food to you
and whenever you want more, just ask--this makes
it easy for parents.

Tusker House Donalds Safari Breakfast at AK:
loved the atmosphere, food and the Characters
are: Donald, Daisy, Goofy. Ate here once and wil
eat here again on upcoming trip. This is a all you can eat buffet.

If it's lunch or dinner and not breakfast, then I would suggest CP for lunch and CM or GG for dinner. If you do decide to try breakfast, then Ohana, Tusker House, or CM's. Good luck.

I would recommend Crystal Palace (Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore and Piglet) for breakfast (they also have lunch and dinner but we've never done those mealtimes) or Cape May Cafe with Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck for breakfast at the Beach Club

Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's. You can't go wrong with either one.

After reading most of the posts above a lot of you Voted for Chef Mickey's. I must have had a bad experience. Food was not all that great and the birds all but land on you while you are eating. I wouldn't recommend Chef Mickey's.

I do however like the Tusker House because of the Characters are in costume and the food was good.

I will put a vote in for Ohana's. The bread and juice alone are to die for! The waffles just melt in your mouth and they are the perfect size! The kids get up and dance and shake maracas with the characters.

Donald's Breakfast at Tusker House was our favorite. Far above Chef Mickey's (we felt was average at best). We also like Cinderella's Royal Table and Akershus, but those are both princess meals and you probably wouldn't care for them.
