My family will be going to WDW for the first time this May and I'm super excited about it. My dd *loves* Chip & Dale and I was wondering if there was a site that I can check in advance to know if/when they're available for a meet and greet. Since this is our first trip (we bought into DVC and we plan on many future trips) it will be all about her and I don't mind having to arrange my tentative touring plan around a character meet. Btw, I did consider a character meal but already have 3 scheduled and am trying to limit on-site meals, food wise theirs was least appealing to our tastes.

TIA!

Chip and Dale are hanging out in the parks quite a bit...I know you said that you're trying to stay away from character dining, but Chip and Dale are at the Garden Grill inside of the Land in Epcot. That's a great spot to meet them, because they usually spend a little more time with you than just at a regular meet and greet...otherwise, you can ask any cast member when you get to the park that day and they can find out where/when they are out. You shouldn't have much difficulty meeting them though! Have fun!

If you want your daughter to spend some quality time with Chip'n Dale, you should take her to the "Chip'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long" that is held nightly at the Fort Wilderness resort. It starts at 7pm during the winter months and includes a campfire sing-a-long with Chip'n Dale (hence the name :)) followed by a movie. Best of all, it's free and open to all guests! :thumbsup2

I second that....we went when my kids were younger and they had the BEST time.

I looked into Garden Grill but the menu won't really work for us. The Campfire Sing-a-long sounds great, I never even heard of it before. I'm definitely going to look into it.

Kinda off-topic but cute story: We went on a Disney cruise a few months ago and the first characters she met were Chip & Dale. We were eating lunch and there somehow weren't any other young kids around (she was 18 months at the time) so they spent a lot of time with her, even playing Ring Around the Rosie. A few days later they played the game again with her and everytime she saw them she was :lovestruc . We have the *cutest* pictures. Now she gets excited when she sees the WDW home page load and they're on there so I really want to make sure she gets to meet them during our trip.

I did a search online after posting here (didn't think of that before but then I would'nt have known about this Campfire Sing-A-Long, DISers know EVERYTHING) and found a site which had an extensive listing in case anyone else is interested, it's on intercot . com, not sure if that's up-to-date as they don't mention this sing a long either . . . but worth a try.

Thanks for the help!!

Another great place to see Chip & Dale is the Character Connection at Epcot. It's in one of the Innoventions buildings (the one on the right as you're entering...you walk right past the windows in the Character Connection room as you walk toward The Land, Journey into Imagination, and The Seas). There are set backgrounds and you can usually find Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto and Chip&Dale in there doing photos. The line does get long, though, as the day goes on, but I've seen these characters spend several minutes with children, especially if it's not too crowded.

I love Chip and Dale. They are my favoirte at of all up them. Excpet for Captain Jack Sparrow.

Note to self: definitely check out Character Connection @ Epcot early in the day. I'm just starting my research on rides now but I don't think there's much for her to ride on at Epcot anyway so we'd might as well make this one of our prime target spots. Sounds great, thanks!

DD lights up screaming "Dale! Dale!" but I know I would gladly take a picture with Captain Jack Sparrow. ;)

We saw Chip & Dale last week at the Character Connection in Epcot - and I saw them near Canada later in the day.

The best site I found was the stevesoares site (am I allowed to put the link?)http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/EPCOT.htm

Print this out before you go for the most updated info - this was very helpful to me to find the characters I wanted to see.

And MOST importantly - keep asking CM's where to find Chip & Dale that day. They will tell you! Or if C & D aren't out yet, they will tell you when to check and where to look.

Yeah, that's the most important thing...just make sure to ask the cast members because the characters are subject to (and DO) change their meet and greets.

chip and dale are.....

MK:Town Square
Epcot:Character spot
DHS:Mickey Sorcerer Hat
AK:Entrance

Chip and Dale are in alot of the restaurants. Goofy is in alot of restaurants and parks. Cinderella is in Cinderellas Royal Table. And Pooh and friends are at Crystal Palace.
