Character Greets

You can get a DAS return time for characters that have a FP+ option. Example: you get a return time for Cinderella in princess Fairytale hall because they have FP+ available. You could not get a return time for the White Rabbit in front of the teacups because he does not have FP+ available.

You should be able to use the DAS at character greets That offer FP+. Admittedly, I have not heard how that is working now with Anna & Elsa at MK now.

Enjoy your vacation!

I am trying to figure out if I should use FP+ for meet and greet vs using the DAS. Thinking it might be better to FP the rides and use DAS for character greets.

remember only one DAS return time at a time, esp if you are looking at A&E I would FP+ that as return time is based on standby time. A&E could make your DAS not useable 3 or more hours. something to think about

How would DAS work for A&E first thing in the morning? Would they let a family right in since the line is just forming?

The line (of 240mins) forms for a and e in like 2 seconds. Unless you have your belly at the rope at rope drop and 'RUN up Main Street. Then there will be a huge queue 1 minuets later. Fp a and e if you can. You need to be on mde at midnight 60 days out.

You want to get FPs for the attractions (rides, character greetings, shows) that build up the longest stand-by times the fastest.

I have a FP+ for A&E at 9:05 but only for 3 people, not 4 like I need. That's why I thought just using the DAS and letting go of the FP. But it seems not a good idea. I have a child who uses a wheelchair so I don't think we can run up Main Street easily unless we use it to knock people out of our way :) (joking of course)

If you really want to see them I would keep that time if there was any way to make it work with 3. Like if the 4th is an adult.

Totally agree with this. That wait time jumped to 240 minutes I think as soon as the park opened. Having a 230 minute wait will make the DAS essentially useless for most of the morning.

1) Without a FP+, the-line-is-the-line with/without DAS.
2) Without FP, get there quickly as DAS has no preference.
3) Remember, DAS allows ACCESS, not EXCESS.

I think we will be fine with 3, I will keep checking to see if a 4th one opens up. Thanks for he help.

Any guesses on what a&e lines will be like in September? The crowd calculators predict the parks being at a level 1-2 for most of our trip.

With any luck it will taper off after summer (or they will have hired/trained more A&E so they can have multiple rooms going at once). I don't think I'll be back down before the ToT run in October, but I'm going to try to make the RD line this weekend. Wish me luck :)

Agree....
The threads I've read lately have mentioned the line basically going to 240 minutes or more within minutes of the park opening.

Really hard to tell - right now is still the 'edge' of Spring break and the movie is still incredibly popular.
By the time you go in fall, the lines should be less.
Merida from Brave and Rapunzel had very long lines at first, but did tame down with time. (Maybe not quite so long to start with, but definitely hours).

Several of the threads on the Theme Parks Board have mentioned there being more than one room going already.
