Character Experiences

What are the current character experiences like? I can find info on the calvacades, so I'm good on those. But, I keep seeing pictures of socially distanced character meets. Are these a thing? Are there lots around the parks? Are there photopass photographers with them?

What are the current character experiences like? I can find info on the calvacades, so I'm good on those. But, I keep seeing pictures of socially distanced character meets. Are these a thing? Are there lots around the parks? Are there photopass photographers with them?

There aren’t PhotoPass photographers at them. At Magic Kingdom, the fab six occasionally are waving from the train station. You can get a bit closer to them if you go to the stairs to the right when they leave. Country Bears or Chip and Dale are occasionally in the balcony near Country Bears. There used to be characters at the back of the castle sometimes, but I haven’t seen those in a while. Pooh characters have sometimes been at the patio of Crystal Palace.
At Epcot, Joy or Pooh often are at the lawn across from Imagination (I think). You can also sometimes find Alice or Mary Poppins at the gazebo in the UK.
At HS, Storm Troopers, Chewbacca, and/or Rey are sometimes in Galaxy’s Edge, I believe across from Ronto Roasters.

In addition to the above, under two weeks ago, we saw:
-Anna and Elsa were distanced in Norway
-Mickey and Minnie were in front of Epcot
-stepsisters were at the castle
-Stitch was at the stage in Tomorrowland
-Buzz Lightyear on the same stage later in the day
-Princesses at the train station
