My husband and I are planning on going to WDW for the second time this May. I was wondering what Character Dinning is fun but not too crazy for two adults. I don't want to freak out my husband too much. We just wanted it to be enjoyable and something we could remember. :)

Any info would help us greatly!

Thanks!

Dina

I'm 25 and I like to do a character meal!

In the past year, I've tried Cape May Cafe, Crystal Palace, and 'Ohana, all at breakfast.

I'd say Cape May would be a good choice as a starter for your DH. It's just Minnie, Donald, and Goofy visiting your table. It's also relatively low-key for a character meal.

At The Crystal Palace and 'Ohana, they have 'parades', where they play music and the kids are encouraged to get up and follow the characters around the room for a minute.

I liked the food at the Crystal Palace the best.

You are never too old for a character meal in Disney. I've done adult only trips and we love the character meals!

However, check out the menus first and find one that you like the food as well. Some of the character meals tend to not have the best food.

Check out the menus at AllEars

Have a wonderful trip!!

Thank you!

My husband put the idea in my head that he wanted to do Cindy's Royal Table. I told him there are going to be tons of kids and princesses but he wants to just eat in the castle so...I think that is gonna be our character meal. Hopefully it goes well.

We did the Castle dinner for the first time this May celebrating our 25th annivesary. The food was actually one of the better character meals but it was so rushed that my husband literally held onto his plate after the waitress whisked mine away! Other than being rushed, we enjoyed the experience. I probably wouldn't rush back again because of the price, but it was nice to see Cinderella's Castle.

DH and I have done the Cape May Cafe character breakfast several times. It's relatively quiet (for a character meal), fun without being too hectic/crazy.

My dh and I have gone to WDW about 7-8 time without children/grandchildren. We always do a few character meals. We do lunch at Crystal Palace, breakfast at Cinderellas Castle, breakfast with Donald at AK, The 5 and Diner with Einstiens, AKerhus Royal Banguet Table, and ofcourse breakfast with Chef Mickey. Of course we rotate most of the character meals from year to year doing about 3-4 of them. We do, however, every year eat breakfast at Cinderellas and another breakfast with Chef Mickey. There are lots and lots of couples from honeymooners to retired age eating at these wonderful places without children. After all we are all children at Disneyworld. :)
