character dinning question

Do they push you to leave before your group is done eating? I read that as soon as the characters come around they want you to leave. What if we are still eatting? I would be upset to have to leave a meal hungry.

That has never been my experience. I've eaten at more character meals than I can remember and I have always been told to take my time and not rush off. We have really lingered over some meals...we especially love to linger at Goofy's Beach Blast Breakfast at Cape May Restaurant. We never felt 'motivated' to hustle our fannies on out of there!!
I wouldn't worry about it. In fact, we have had to ask for the check on several occasions!!!

I really wouldnt worry too much about it mommytoe, we have also been to more character meals than we can count and have never once been rushed to leave. I have found that the staff in the restaurants are friendlier than anywhere else in the parks............especially Crystal Palace!

You're paying for a meal where there happens to be characters. You NOT paying to meet characters where there happens to be food. Don't worry about it.

We've never felt rushed to leave.

The only WDW restaurant I recall ever feeling rushed at was Sci-Fi. We still like it, and we still go back, but on more than one visit they've practically set our entrees on top of our appetizers and we felt like they were trying to move us on out.

Agreed, Sci-Fi is the only restaurant I've ever felt hustled out of. Though one time we were really lingering at Garden Grille and Goofy came around twice . . . he noticed my mother's plate was still very full and he tried to feed her. But I knew he wasn't rushing us out, the restaurant was maybe 1/3 full and a CM was walking around The Land letting people know that there was plenty of available seating for a character meal.

We've been to a few character meals and have never been rushed out.I dont think you have to worry about this.

Where did you hear that? I've never heard that before.

We've never had that exp. Course, I don't leave a table until I'm good and ready LOL so the leaving-without-finishing-a-meal wouldn't by flying with us. Esp for the price you pay! =)
