Character Dinner Reservation Problem

Hello - Has anyone else had this issue? I called yesterday to make a character dinner reservation and was told that they are only taking the through 1-25-09 right now due to a computer upgrade and that I should try back at the end of October/Early November. We are arriving on 1-26.

they are changing system and currently only allowing 90 ADR until mid Oct. There is speculation that they may go to on line ordering after that. You can still book CRT and Chef Mickeys 180 though.

NEW DINING RESERVATION SYSTEM IN THE WORKS

Disney will begin implementing a new reservation system that combines dining, recreation and tour bookings.

The conversion will start on July 21, 2008 and is expected to be functioning on October 24. While this is taking place, the latest dining reservation date which can be booked in advance is January 25, 2009. Once the new system is operating, it will revert to the 180 day Advance Dining Reservation window.

The exceptions to the shortened ADR booking window are Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef Mickey's and Victoria & Albert's.
