What is your favorite character breakfast and why? Who has the best food, ambiance, character interaction? I have two boys and this would be our first character breakfast at Disneyland.
Sorry didn't know I couldn't ask a question that has already been posted. I haven't logged into disboards in a long time and have forgotten how to get around it.there are a ton of threads about this, including threads about each individual one - use the search box and you'll get tons of info that way!
Thank you so much for your response. I will definitely keep all that in mind. Have a great day!Minnie and Friends in the park
1) its in the park.
2) nice variety of characters.
3) its in the park, no need to take time to walk back and forth to another location.
Food is decent. Nothing fancy, but good quality and fresh. I also like many items are actually behind a counter and plated by a cast member. I have issue with other patrons possibly touching my food. I've seen too many unsupervised kids in buffet lines, touching things and putting them back.
Did I mention its in the park? LOL
We like to go around 10-10:30. We play for a couple hours, and work up an appetite. Then, enjoy a long meal. We typically skip lunch that day.
Thank you so much for your honest opinion. Have a great day!I was there recently and had 2 very positive character breakfast experiences:
1.) Minnie's at the Plaza (in DL park): TONS of characters and great interaction, and it was very nice to be seated outside. However, I thought the food pretty terrible. I barely ate, everything seemed thrown together and the overall feel of the buffet was not very clean. But I would recommend this for character interaction and ambiance. I think we saw 9 characters total!
2.) Mickey's Surf's Up (in Pacific Pier hotel): GREAT food, especially compared to the food mentioned above. Very good character interaction. I think we saw Mickey (photo at the beginning but does not wander), Pluto, Stitch & Minnie but I can't completely remember. Stitch was really fun! We had 2 visits from each and it wasn't too crazy in there. I slightly preferred this experience, mostly because the food was actually good.
Thank you !We did mickys surfs up last week. Good was great and characters were awesome. We saw the same as the previous poster and also Daisy

Thank you for letting me know that about the plaza... Having boys I think we may have to try another option . Have a great day!I don't have any children it is just my Husband and myself but we love to do the character breakfasts. Minnie's at the Plaza Inn has the most characters and you are inside the park already, but...
Since you have boys I would be aware that when you arrive you are first taken to get your photo taken with Minnie Mouse and you receive a pink button with Minnie on it. The whole event feels very girly to me, fun but definitely more girly.
My husband LOVES Storyteller's Café. The characters there are the two bears from Brother Bear, chip and dale, and Meeko.
They have a "park ranger" who comes around and has all the kids do a parade around the restaurant from time to time.
We have had great interactions with the characters and the characters there tend to tease and joke with each other a lot. They are very goofy! Every time we have been there they have shoved jelly packets down each other's necks and stolen people's food, etc. It was a blast to watch. Although there are far less characters you do get a lot more time with each of them.
It also puts you very close to the entrance to DCA by Grizzly rapids and the Redwood creek trail. I like that you are inside rather than outside like most of the tables at the Plaza and the food is better than the Plaza IMO.
