Character Dining?

Where can I find information on character lunch or dinner at Island of Adventures? Is it similar to Disney world where they will come to your table for pictures and autographs? I was looking through threads but didn't find any and google hasn't been much help!

Also we are not staying on site, and only going to IOA. Was hoping for characters like Spiderman etc for boys

Unfortunately the Spiderman breakfast was cancelled in favor of the new Superstar Character Breakfast @ Cafe La Bamba inside the Studios.

There are character appearances for dinner at the resorts but I think those are more random and not really scheduled regularly.

There are lots of characters in IOA. If your kids want to meet with Spiderman, he has his own meet and greet location across from the ride. There is also a superheroes cavalcade followed by autograph sessions with them.
