This is the first time I've posted on the DIS!! I was in inventions back in 2007 and it was brilliant! Its the biggest buffet I've ever seen in my life and quite a luxurious one too. great if you have kids as there will always be something for them to ear. character intervention was A+++ Can't comment on cafe mickey as I have never been but will be trying it in September. :thumbsup2

Sorry - I cant see how to start a new thread!

we're going for the first time at the end of Jan, and only for one day. As the park shuts at six we would really like to have a character meal in the evening. Even though Inventions is horrendously expensive I think it would be better to pay a bit more rather than go to Mickey's cafe as the food doesnt sound that great at Mickey's and the prices have gone up. Does anyone know if they have gone up in Inventions too? The info I have found says 49 euros for an adult and 18 for a child 3-6. I also have a 2 year old but I cant see a price for that age, can anyone help?

Will I need to book to eat here at about 6.30? How do I book? Are the characters there all evening or just at certain times?

Is it really worth the money??! It is such a lot of money for us but I got the Sun day trip deal and a good deal on our hotel so maybe I can justify it! Plus it is my birthday:)

the prices have gone up: it's 51,60 Eur adult and 20,50 Eur child (age 3-6). I was thinking of doing Inventions, but to pay 100Eur... :scared1::confused3

I know it's pricey but I'm going for Inventions for the highlight meal of the holiday. A buffet is a good option for us as we have quite fussy eaters and from what I've heard the interaction seems to be the best here. I was very tempted by Auberge as we're taking two Princess-mad girls but I think the food will be a bit too showy for some of the party. Plus we can queue for some Princesses instead!

On balance I'd rather splash out on one good meal and have cheaper options for the rest of the time than try to spread my cash evenly.
